Knightmare Pilot Monday, 12 July 2010 19:43
After scouting the web for Knightmare references, Billy Hicks was lucky enough to come across the website of Richard Bonehill, a professional swordsman. Richard had played a character in the pilot episode of Knightmare, and incredibly, the script to the original pilot episode was available to buy. Billy snapped up the script and is here to share both his story and the script in all its detail.

Knightmare on DVD Friday, 05 March 2010 19:17
Alan Boyd has been looking into the possibility for getting a legal online and DVD distribution of Knightmare some time in the near future. If the process works, we would buy the rights to Knightmare ourselves on a per-episode basis and initially distribute the episodes online. Assuming enough money could be made to buy the rights to all episodes, we would look to make the episodes available by DVD.

AegisQuest Friday, 05 March 2010 19:17
AegisQuest is a live-action RPG in which a group of advisors guide a blind quester through a dungeon of riddles, puzzles and traps in a Dungeons & Dragons style adventure. Despite being unrelated to Knightmare, it has a few similarities with the show we all know and love, and is well worth watching. Before you get excited, there are some things that need to be said.

Firstly, and most importantly, there is every chance that this will completely fall through. We think we may have come up with a way to do this legally. However, we haven't yet formally spoken to anyone in authority. Everything so far has been unofficial enquiries off the record.

Secondly, even if the project gets off the ground, there's still a chance that some or all of it will fall through. The total costs involved are VAST. More than any single person can handle. Therefore, even once we determine how it all works out, we just might not be able to get the momentum necessary for the project to get off the ground.

Thirdly, it will require support from the community. And by "support", I mean "financial support". That means, we need to find people willing to buy the DVDs.

Fourthly, we're doing nothing until the new knightmare.com site goes live. This is the best opportunity we'll have for raising awareness, and therefore, support.

That's all I have to say right now. This would be a good opportunity to let us know whether there's still an interest out there in some legal Knightmare DVDs. Not TV grabs from challenge or ITV, but copies of the original master episodes.

To get the project off the ground, we need the support of about 5000 people who would be willing to buy episodes. We estimate that this is necessary to ensure that there is enough demand. We estimate at this time that episodes would cost about £1 each.

We encourage you to show your unofficial interest at this time buy signing up for our forum and indicating your interest here. At some point in the near future we will come up with a formal proposal regarding exact prices and will formally seek interest. However, for now we're just interested in unofficial numbers.
