This is a great site keep it up. If only Knightmare can get back on our screens! submitted by Jon Shaw, Lancaster on Mon, 1 Mar 99 I remember coming home from School, and
running to the TV to watch Knightmare. I went to boarding School, so I never got many chances to watch it, but I must have
seen 10 or more episodes in my life time, and I've always wanted MORE (I love the
program!!!) Now there is this site to show that, although Knightmare is off-air,
it is certainly NOT dead. submitted by Jonathan Heard, Bourne End, Bucks on Tue, 2 Mar 99, go to Jonathan Heard's homepage A Great Site! Please can you put up
some movies though? submitted by Sir Phil Cheltenham on Tue, 2 Mar 99, go to Sir Phil's homepage I am very impressed with this site - David Rowe (the illustrator) is my dad! I remember when he used to always be up through the night airbrushing and painting those rooms. It is weird to see people saying they were honoured to get a letter from Tim Child because I remember going to his house when I was younger. I think this is a great site anyway, it makes me feel very proud. submitted by Celeste Rowe, Cardiff University on Thu, 11 Mar 99, go to Celeste Rowe's homepage This site is great!! I'd forgotten all
about Knightmare (I used to run home to watch it too!) but when I heard that music it all came back!! submitted by Clairei, Guernsey on Tue, 9 Mar 99 WellI was sent here by one Celeste Rowe
who requested I check it out, and lo and behold its a site about a show I ABSOLUTELY USED TO LOVE *SMILES* submitted by caroline marr @ Sheffield UK on Fri, 12 Mar 99, go to caroline marr's homepage Brilliant game show of its time... submitted by Mark Hemingway, Newton Arlosh, Nr. Carlisle on Fri, 12 Mar 99 I remember knightmare it was brilliant and i used to get scraed by the man who sat by the faire and i used to wonder how come the boy or girl who was killed in the castles suddenly came back to life afterwards submitted by grottbags (reborn as Anne Widdecombe???) on Thu, 25 Mar 99 This is such a brill website, the memories of this brilliant series come flooding back. It's great to be able to see once again such characters as Treguard, Hordriss, Lillith the ice queen, Merlin, Lord Fear and even that strange little elf Pickle. It's the nearest we'll probably come to seeing them again seeing as no TV station seems to have the guts to reshow it. I couldn't wait to finish school on Fridays to see it, but as soon as you really got into it it was over and the contestants were frozen in time for a week. Remember the only way is onwards, there is no turning back.... submitted by Don, Ireland on Sat, 20 Mar 99 This really is a great site. Knightmare used to freak me out when I was a kid. submitted by Purves Grundy, lead singer with band Blouse on Sun, 28 Mar 99, go to Purves Grundy's homepage Knightmare is cool! I wish so much it would come back, especially the earlier series which I didn't see. Series 4 and 5 were the best I reckon. 1 question - under the clips section, where are the video clips?? submitted by Sam Heeley on Sat, 27 Mar 99 I remember this show well, it used to get me very excited when it came on! Pity it had to end. Also a pity is the fact that none of the sound clips on your page work! But a great site Nonetheless! submitted by DES - Ireland on Sat, 13 Feb 99, go to DES - Ireland's homepage I remember that, well I never missed an episode. It was a realy good show in fact its so good that I decided to keep on watching it on the sci-fi channel every sunday morning. submitted by robert cartin-birmingham on Wed, 31 Mar 99, go to robert cartin's homepage Great website on the Knightmare game show (about time too.) Only one thing to say and I can see that most people agree with me: BRING BACK Knightmare!!! submitted by Osama Shah on Mon, 29 Mar 99 God damn, this site is good. I have some (ex) school friends who were in Knightmare, though I'm not in touch any more. Mathew Reid, Phillip Jolliffe and Andrew (can't remember his name....how time flies!). Fat bloke, anyway. They died on the second level, they told me. It was the spider, I think, but I can't remember for sure. submitted by Alex Nolan, Durham University on Sat, 10 Apr 99 Ok I have signed this before but I just have to say that I desperately need series 5 - 7 so if anyone can help please get in touch submitted by James Allenby - Beatles Website on Sun, 4 Apr 99, go to James Allenby's homepage I'm sorry but this has to be said This Is The Best Site on the web submitted by Robin Long, East Devon on Wed, 28 Apr 99 hey, i'm in nicholas' a level it class ( nicholas is the designer) and i am happy to say that i was one of the die hard fans of knightmare, when will is be on again? any chance of a new series ? Sadiki submitted by Sadiki Harris ADT College London on Tue, 20 Apr 99 When series 1 was first shown, I was 22. I was instantly addicted, as were most of the people I worked with, so much so that when we were tired towards the end of the working day we would often exclaim "life force energy low....". I remember the first team ever to win the game! I was visiting my sister in Lincoln, and the whole family was watching. We had been following the team over a couple of shows, and when they won, the house erupted! Must go, I can feel a temporal disruption approaching! submitted by Keith Golding on Sat, 1 May 99 This has to be the best tribute site to any any TV programme on the Internet. The site has absolutely everything there is to know about Knightmare - WELL DONE! submitted by Steven, London on Fri, 30 Apr 99, go to Steven, London's homepage My congratulations on a great website. submitted by P. Lee Manchester on Tue, 11 May 99 I'd just like to say that this is a fab web site about a fab show. Knightmare was and still is the best game ever. Nothing can even come close to beating it. I've only ever seen series 4-8 and series 5 is my favorite. Hopefully one day it will return. Keep up the good work. submitted by Anton Benson , Manchester England on Sun, 9 May 99 Nicholas, submitted by Mr Graham on Wed, 12 May 99, go to Mr Graham's homepage This was my absolute favorite programme when I was little, and I think I must have watched every single episode. Then, a Friday afternoon always meant Knightmare at my nan's house. I never thought there would be so many people that still love it. submitted by Rachel, from Lincolnshire on Mon, 17 May 99, go to Rachel's homepage Hi, I don't know, what's the game show Knightmare about, but I realized that you know Fort Boyard as well. I am a very big fan of Fort Boyard since 1990. And I even made a Fort-Boyard-Homepage with many pictures of all the games in the cells. Well, if you're a fan of Fort Boyard, then visit my page: http://beam.to/boyard submitted by Andy from Germany on Wed, 12 May 99, go to Andy from Germany's homepage Knightmare!!!! wow, i had forgotten it existed up until recently... but it was the bestest thing ever. well... they kind of sold out during the end hahahaa ah, but the music... the nostalgia.. i wish i was 10 again!! submitted by francine, stevenage, england on Thu, 20 May 99, go to francine's homepage I thought that Knightmare was a vey good program. It is good to find a site dedicated to it, after The Eye Shield stopped being produced. Your site is a lot better than a few of the others I have been to recently submitted by Sean Mallion, Bury on Tue, 18 May 99 Hi Nicholas Good luck with your A-Levels If anyone wants to know anything about Knightmare, especially the later series Anton Benson submitted by Anton Benson, Manchester on Fri, 28 May 99 What a great blast from the past!! submitted by Martin Cusworth on Tue, 1 Jun 99 I loved Knightmare! I *so* wanted to be on it. How sad that they axed it... *sniff sniff*. But great site though... submitted by Charles Croft on Thu, 3 Jun 99 Knightmare was my favorite childhood show. Not only I would watch it but my Gran and Aunty too. It spanned many generations and I have never understood why it was taken off our screens. My favorite rooms were the ones with scorpions or bombs in them. Bring Back Knightmare! submitted by Mark, Newcastle on Thu, 3 Jun 99 Top class web site!! Missing Knightmare very much. Cheers, Dave submitted by Dave Brown,Reading Uni on Mon, 7 Jun 99 Knightmare was the best RPG game ever. I use to record every program but they were taped over. The only remaining tapes are stacked in the loft!! submitted by anonymous on Sat, 5 Jun 99 I watched the final episode! it was great, just like seeing it all over again! Any chance of getting some more episodes on here? On the channel 4 site forum board, some of us have been discussing the cable channels that might show Knightmare. I emailed Challenge TV but they said it wasn't the kind of show they are there for...hello? Isn't the Crystal Maze also an adventure game show?? And those old Strike it lucky shows and Family Fortunes...come on! who the hell is gonna watch them?? So, now we are thinking of UK gold but they show more dramas and soaps...Sci-Fi channel already ditched it (scum) so who else?? Sky one? they only have new stuff...GOD! someone must wanna show this ace programme! it was POPULAR - it was a winner! so why is there no interest? submitted by Sam H of Worthing on Wed, 9 Jun 99 Thank you for letting me drive down the cracked road
called nostalgia. It's been fun, good site. I've also given the address to some friends so they'll probably
write in here too some time. I'm glad it's not just us folks that thought it was
a cool program (remember the cartoon knight-on-horse opening). I hope you get the
re-runs and new episodes that you guys want....er...um......what about submitted by Colin J Bailey on Tue, 8 Jun 99 What everyone on this site should do is e-mail Challenge TV to reshow Knightmare and show them just how many people want this excellent series repeated. Problem is that I have tried over and over again at the address on their (rather pathetic) site challengetv_enquiries@flextech.co.uk and my mail keeps getting returned to me. Does anyone out there have an address for them that actually works. According to the Ch4 Knightmare thread, a Knightmare petition is being started, I suggest that everyone in this guestbook and on the Ch4 thread signs this, these withdrawal symptoms are too much for me. submitted by Don, Ireland on Sat, 12 Jun 99 After a conversion last night in bar about our shows that should be reproduced for the year 2000 i came up with Knightmare. Which triggered me to find this web site today. I tell you it brings back the memories from friday afternoons at around 4.40. Brilliant web site keep it up. I will be putting on my own website soon which is dedicated to 'The Cobblers' NTFC. Which will feature the usual footie things plus aside section on techno, orbital, music. And it will include a link to this page. submitted by ORBITAL Ganj- Yardley Gobion, Northants on Thu, 10 Jun 99 SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN AXED. KNIGHTMARE, DR. WHO AND THE ADVENTURE GAME ON BBC2 ARE SOME OF THE MOST VIVID MEMORIES I HAVE OF CHILDHOOD. ANYONE REMEMBER THE DROGNA GAME? submitted by Mark Wilson - Nr. Newcastle on Tue, 15 Jun 99 Well done on this website - it rocks! My favorite bad guys were always the mechanical warriors, although Sylvester Hands was cool, as was Mr. Fear! Does anyone have Videos of any Knightmare shows (especially the early ones!)? If anyone can help, contact me via e-mail! submitted by Graham Christie, Glasgow on Sat, 26 Jun 99 Are their any Knightmare fans out there who are also map makers for the Macintosh game Marathon? I'm considering starting a Marathon total conversion based on Knightmare. If you want to be involved, e-mail Burnsie@mac-addict.com submitted by David Burns on Wed, 23 Jun 99, go to David Burns's homepage Warning Team - Goblins approaching!!!!!! submitted by Vinboid on Mon, 28 Jun 99, go to Vinboid's homepage 1) any chance of interaction, like an opinion poll
asking the fans what their favourite series or characters were? submitted by Sam H on Mon, 28 Jun 99, go to Sam H 's homepage I dont suppose it did any good but I emailed ITV2 and pressed strongly for this to be shown. These new digital kids channels sound like the way forward though. I will need to get them sorted if Knightmare is gonna be shown - has anyone got in contact with them yet? submitted by Sam H on Sun, 4 Jul 99 I watched Knightmare from the first series and I was hooked! It was so amazing! this site is amazing! I hope the quest to Bring Back Knightmare is a success as this is one programme I would like to see back on our screens!
submitted by Jenny Wade - York on Sun, 4 Jul 99
I am glad to see that I am not the only Knightmare fan out there. Unfortunately I only managed to catch the last four series from 1991-4 I believe (I would have been 15 in 94) heaven only knows what I was doing with my life for the previous four years (BBC I think). I wasn't too pleased when the show was axed - although I must say that the last series didn't quite match the quality of the previous ones. If anyone out there has any info on whether ITV (or any other channel for that matter) are planning any reruns or new series, please let me know. And remember take the right path wherever possible!

I had a discussion with all my friends and they all agreed that Knightmare was one of the coolest programmes ever made. Most of them hated the last series saying that nearly all the rooms were the same. I thought that the 5,6 and 7th series really were the best. It is so tight that nobody wants such a classy programme as Knightmare. I'm going to sit in a corner and sulk now until one of these crappy channels takes it. Knightmare rocked. At least, the first series did, it started to get sh** after a while when they gave the bloke with the beard all those really irritating helpers and totally changed the game. It was really scary when they had that thing with bits of the helmet peeling away as a health meter, and then the face came away too and all the people outside would yell "DRINK THE HEALING POTION !!!" or something.
