<Majida> Oh like last time. Yeah I remember that. Look on the bright side though, we dined on Goblin sauté for a month!

<Treguard> Yes, but I wondered what made my stomach go a bit queasy. Anyway. I have looked at the hour glass, and I see that we have slightly more time than normal.

<Majida> Why's that?

<Treguard> I don't know. It's my own fault for buying it from B&Q. In any case. I estimate that 1 hour and 45 minutes remains before this phase of the dungeon ends and somewhat larger wait comes after it.

<Majida> Ah. So do you think that there's enough time for this team to complete their quest?

<Treguard> We shall see Majida. Speed, agility and wits are what's necessary to win this. But, the time will come somewhere in this final phase where out team must help save the dungeon.

<Majida> Ooohh I can't wait! Let's get on with it then!

<Treguard> Not so fast Majida. First our watchers will need a brief reminder of what went on in our last phase.

<Majida> Ok then, but make it quick!

<Treguard> Right. 

<Treguard> Jackie and Jeanna were team in quest
<Treguard> But the dungeon this time came out best
<Treguard> For though they hurried and didn't dither
<Treguard> They were beaten by the eliminator

<Majida> Hey! That doesn't rhyme!

<Treguard> Shut up Majida!

<Treguard> Ark, Jaffa and Hiltono
<Treguard> Through dungeon depths boldly go
<Treguard> Collecting staff pieces through level 1 blizzard
<Treguard> They gave them to a wizard
<Treguard> A dark room they brought light
<Treguard> Then to level 2 they took flight
<Treguard> F R and now E they possess,
<Treguard> But how will they use this terrible mess?
<Treguard> Now, objects must they choose,
<Treguard> But will they win or will they lose?

<Treguard> Your task now is to collect some objects. I can give you a clue about ONE of the objects that you must take, but what other object you take is up to you. I can tell you now that the clue I give you is a negative clue, which is to deter you from taking a certain object which you don't need. Here is your clue"

<Treguard> You enter a stone room with two portals at the back. Just in front of you a figure walks around limping.

<Ark> Gotta be quick, guys!

<Treguard> "ARGH!!!! The Pain! You there! Trespasser. Prepare for your death now!"

<Treguard> "Ah. I thank you. I have been in pain all day, and finally somebody gives me some relief. For that, I am eternally grateful. For this, I shall give you some information which I believe will prove useful to you. 

<Jaffa> (good counsel there Hilt)

<Treguard> Somewhere along the path, you will enter the hall of the gods. Here there are four portals, each leading to a chamber containing a different god. There are four gods, earth, fire, air and water. 

<Jaffa> (not :)

<Treguard> Every one of these gods will try to defeat you so I suggest that you find an object which looks as though it would best defend you against that god. 

<Treguard> For example, I would find a bucket of water to fight the fire god. But hey, I wouldn't fight any of then, but you must. Was there anything else I could do for you?

<Jaffa> Which exit should we take?

<Treguard> Or perhaps something you could do for me

<Ark> Ask for any other info

<Ark> eg. About Meridian and Ixia

<Treguard> You help me in some way, and I'll help you

<Jaffa> Sure

<Ark> What help do you need?

<Majida> Have we seen this type of creature before?

<Ark> Ask if he knows about Ixia and Maridian

<Treguard> Ixia? She has my females captured

<Ark> We've heard that the femals are in Ixia's dungeon

<Treguard> "Yes, I long to rescue my females. I'd to anything to get them out of Ixia's complex."

<Jaffa> Ah - does he want us to free his females?

<Jaffa> For a small fee ;)

<Treguard> "You'll help me? Thank you. Well, as I understand, the path has now formed to include Ixia's complex. You will encounter the entrance to the complex near the end of this level. It should be marked clearly. 

<Ark> Could the letters spell out "FREE"?

<Treguard> So, you can either go into the complex and rescue my females, or continue to the end of Level 2. Anyway. I don't know what you'll encounter in the complex, but in the first room, you should find some supplies. 

<Jaffa> Could be

<Jaffa> Which way to the complex?

<Treguard> Good Luck. To aid you in your search, I gift you a spell.

<Hiltono> so far yes

<Treguard> The spell's name is RUST. Use it wisely for it will work only once and will help you in your most dire peril. Farewell, and good Luck! If you successfully rescue them, I shall gift you with a puzzle token to aid you on the puzzle on this level."

<Treguard> You enter a room with four doors. Above each door is a symbol. From left to right, they read as: Water, Air, Earth and Fire. Well team, it appears as though you're going to have to choose which door you must go through

<Majida> Let me choose, let me choose!

<Treguard> Majida. You know full well that the choice is theirs. Please, you choose team, and don't whatever you do, let this genie choose for you

<Jaffa> Err, ehen did we get the FREEZE spell?

<Hiltono> dunno

<Ark> Guys, the only thing I can think of is that a shovel might counter Earth

<Ark> I dunno if FREE or RUST will counter any of them

<Majida> I can sense something. I think it's to the right, but not anywhere close. I can hear cries for help.

<Treguard> Well. The choice is yours team.

<Ark> Probably the complex is to the right

<Ark> Do we help Meridian?

<Hiltono> yeh help him

<Hiltono> go right

<Ark> Go right

<Jaffa> Are those people down there?

<Treguard> you go to the right exit

<Treguard> PLEASE WAIT

<Jaffa> DArn - should have spoken to those people

<Treguard> There wasn't anybody there

<Jaffa> Oh - my mistake :)

<Treguard> You walk across the bridge and enter the portal. You emerge in a place which doesn't seem to have any relation to the previous room.

<Majida> What's This? What happened to Level 2?

<Treguard> Well Majida. It appears as though there has been yet another folding of the dungeon. What we're actually seeing is an alternate level 1.

<Majida> Oooh. This is scary stuff. This is no place for a genie. I mean look! What's this thing over in left corner?

<Treguard> Well I don't know. It looks like a Jester. Perhaps he knows this place. I should try and get as much information as possible team while you still can.

<Jaffa> Hey jester - got any food?

<Ark> Talk to jester

<Treguard> you talk to him.....

<Treguard> "I am the keeper of this gate. Perhaps I am not. Looking behind you might be the unnecessary function. Here, I have a gift for you. It is a scroll and may prove useful to you somewhere ahead on the path. Here take it. 

<Ark> Take scroll

<Ark> Can we read it?

<Hiltono> look at it

<Treguard> Beyond this entrance lies the glorious complex which Ixia control. Ah you must be the secondary guard support for the prison room. 

<Treguard> Wait team

<Treguard> If you go through that door and continue you shall either meet you death somewhere or if you are lucky you will reach the prison room and must guard it until Ixia comes and relieves you. 

<Jaffa> That's us

<Treguard> A JOKE!??? A Joke?!?! My kingdom for a joke when the sun shines vertically on a winters day on Saturn."

<Treguard> I should take advantage of this mistake on the guard's part team. He seems to think that you're one of the guards from Level 2. 

<Treguard> Probably because you've just come from there, and he's never met anyone from the REAL dungeon. Onward! 

<Jaffa> Anyone got a SHORT gag?

<Majida> That was lucky

<Treguard> Majida. Luck had nothing to do with it. Hurry team, read the scroll later, I hear something coming!

<Ark> Did he say he wanted a joke?

<Jaffa> No - exit

<Treguard> I give you nothing more. GO NOW!

<Ark> Oh...exit

<Treguard> you exit....

<Treguard> You enter a passageway with two portals at the back. Just in front of you is a basket containing some objects.

<Majida> Treguard. What are these skull things on the wall, and what is wrong with the room?

<Treguard> I've heard of these kind of rooms but I never believed they existed. Basically the skulls on the wall are an energy collector which in turn send the energy to the generators of this complex. 

<Ark> Look in basket

<Treguard> Shut down the generators, and you will prevent any of the electrical systems working in the whole complex. Anyway, if our team walk past the energy collectors, their life force will drop. 

<Jaffa> look at scroll

<Jaffa> first

<Treguard> But, not to a life threatening extent as long as they find food fairly soon. The coloured lines on the wall send the energy to the generators naturally. Life Force is very low team!

<Ark> Yeah, Jaffa's right

<Treguard> you read the scroll....

<Jaffa> Noo - get food now!

<Treguard> The scroll says: 

<Treguard> "Throw It in the works"

<Ark> OK, now look in basket

<Treguard> This clue by the way team, only concerns one of the objects in the basket. What other object you take it up to you.

<Jaffa> We can see it - get the food from the basket

<Jaffa> :)

<Treguard> You take the food

<Jaffa> Phew - lucky there was some there, eh?

<Treguard> In the basket are a: 

<Treguard> An apple, a spanner, a book with the title "Dark Magic" on it, a small piece of chalk, and a bottle of poison.

<Treguard> you take the food

<Ark> Have we eaten the food?

<Jaffa> Spanner and chalk?

<Treguard> just now :)

<Ark> Examine each object

<Treguard> No team. There's no time for that! Your life force is being drained!

<Jaffa> Chuck the spanner at the skulls?

<Hiltono> spanner and chalk, then exit

<Jaffa> Maybe not

<Hiltono> no save the spanner for the generators

<Treguard> you take that exit

<Treguard> You enter a large area with a portal at the back. You see three pyramids at the back where occasionally flickers of light jump between them. Ahead of you is a large display which says:

<Treguard> "Generator. For the love of god. DON'T TOUCH!"

<Jaffa> Hmmm

<Treguard> In the air hovers a large screen showing the head of a figure.

<Jaffa> Hmmmmmmmm

<Majida> Uh-Oh. I don't like the look of her team.

<Treguard> Neither do I Majida. Neither do I

<Hiltono> i dunno

<Jaffa> Ixia?

<Hiltono> shes ok

<Treguard> "HAHAAHAAAA. Hello there little dungeoneer. I hope you've liked my complex so far. I've made it like this to stop little pests like you from coming here. 

<Treguard> But I see that you have nerves of steel and aren't afraid of any of it so far. Trust me, you will be. Why not stay a while and play? WUHAAHAHAHAHA. 

<Jaffa> Uh oh

<Treguard> Why not stay forever?! I think I'll watch you till you drop dead on the floor. After all. Your life force is dreadfully low after that nasty encounter with my skull energy collectors."

<Jaffa> Chuck the spanner in

<Hiltono> I'll take over for commands while he is gone

<Treguard> He'll be back

<Majida> What can we do Treguard

<Treguard> you chuck it in.....

<Jaffa> Then chuck the spanner in the works!

<Hiltono> throw spanner at generator

<Treguard> "NOOOOOO!!!!! SH*TTTT!!!"

<Treguard> The screen starts to flicker and the generators stop. Suddenly there's a massive explosion and you are almost knocked back off your feet.

<Majida> Good work team! I don't think that she'll be using her toaster tonight.

<Treguard> Yes Majida. Whatever you say. You look up and see a note flying through the air and land on the floor in front of you. Next to it is a tomato.

<Majida> That was conveniently placed Treguard. How did that get there?

<Treguard> Well I don't know do I? It just is.

<Hiltono> eat tomato and read note

<Treguard> You eat the tomato

<Treguard> and then read the note

<Treguard> The note says:"You touched IT!!!"

<Ark> Argh! My damn computer crashed!

<Jaffa> hehe :)

<Hiltono> doh

<Ark> What did I miss?

<Jaffa> We took out Ixia's generator

<Hiltono> ok exit

<Treguard> you exit

<Ark> What items do we have?

<Jaffa> Chalk

<Hiltono> nothing new

<Treguard> You enter a room with an exit at the back and three prison cells. Each cell has a lock on it. At the back of the room in one of the cells, you hear someone: "Hey dungeoneer! Please help us! We beg you. PLEASE!!!!"

<Treguard> Cut this out!!-----Right, I'm up to date now

<Treguard> They're right team. When you cast the spell before, a forcefield was erected. This obviously runs on backup power separate from the generator, but is still dangerous non-the-less.

<Treguard> You cast the spell, and the forcefield disappears.

<Treguard> "Thanks dungeoneer. Quick, you go through that portal, and we'll follow in just a few seconds. Don't wait for us!"

<Hiltono> kick ass now lets get the hell outta here

<Ark> Right, let's exit now!

<Treguard> You exit....

<Jaffa> I dunno....

<Treguard> You enter a room with a large pit in the middle of it but no exits

<Treguard> "We're right behind you dungeoneer. Don't worry about us. Just make sure the way is clear"

<Treguard> The pit is bottomless

<Majida> How will they escape with no exits?

<Treguard> Well, it seems that Ixia has sealed off all the exits from this complex. It's up to you team to find a way out now, and down the pit doesn't look like a good idea

<Jaffa> It will have to be the chalk

<Ark> Can we use the chalk to make an exit?

<Hiltono> use ermm chalk?

<Jaffa> And draw some food :)

<Treguard> HURRY TEAM!!!!

<Ark> Exit!

<Treguard> You use the chalk to draw an exit. A portal now appears on the wall.

<Treguard> This is the main obstacle in Level 2, and is known as the dreaded eliminator. We've already lost two teams here. What you must do is look at the screen that appears. 

<Jaffa> tsk, bleeding genies

<Treguard> You are given a situation. For example, -2 and +2. Then you go on to the first stage where you a given a question. MONDAY and JULY. 

<Treguard> Firstly you must -2 on the Monday which will become Saturday, and then +2 on the JULY, which then becomes SEPTEMBER. 

<Treguard> A different situation is given for each of the 4 questions. If you don't get all of these correct, the eliminator will swat you with a 20 Megawatt Fireball!

<Treguard> I'm sure you understand all that perfectly eh? 

<Treguard> I'm sure you understand all that perfectly eh? And the best part is that you have 45 seconds per question! Go!

<Treguard> You emerge in a corridor on the outskirts of a large fortress. Ahead of you is a portal.

<Majida> Treguard. Do you know this place?

<Treguard> Yes. We've seen this before. This team, are the corridors which surround the Evil King's fortress. If you can find a way in through the main door, then you will be well on your way to completing your quest.

<Majida> Won't that be dangerous?

<Treguard> Majida. If there isn't an element of danger in a quest, it means nothing. What we need first though is to find the clue room. It should be somewhere nearby.

<Ark> Exit

<Treguard> You exit

<Treguard> You enter a small courtyard. There are three portals in the area but only two are visible.

<Treguard> There's one to the left, one just up the stairs, and one off the stairs to the right. In front of you on the floor is a spyglass.

<Treguard> "I know. I blame Ixia for those damn creatures escaping. They don't even know what the object of their quest is yet do they? That is a mystery to even me. 

<Treguard> We need to make sure that they can't find out. Have the mage repellent turned to maximum. I don't want any mages or wizards getting in and giving them information."

<Treguard> "I'll see to it. The only mage or wizard that I know is Merlin, and I called him once. All I did was shout out his name three times and he…"

<Treguard> "STOP! I can't believe you just said that. Don't you see. Somebody could be listening. 

<Treguard> We've had this problem all this season. Next year I'm going to install some sort of security system to catch the little sons 'a' bitches!"

<Treguard> "The causeway? Yes, but there are still some bugs to be ironed out in it."

<Treguard> "I can hardly wait! By the way, I've been at my old tricks again, and have put in a false quest item. So when they get to the quest room, they'll find two of the same thing. 

<Treguard> Only thing is though, one of them is booby trapped to swat them with a 50 megawatt fireball! WUHAHAHAAA!

<Treguard> "Excellent Blade. They will perish! Alert! Somebody is spying on me. DIE!!!"

<Jaffa> Beat Hilt repeatedly around the head with spyglass to break it, then beat him some more just to make sure

<Majida> Team, I think before you proceed any further, you need to know your purpose in questing this dungeon. You need to find out what you are in search for.

<Treguard> She's right team. You can't possibly proceed without learning what you are in search for. Since information is scarce here, you'll need to find out from somebody powerful, like a mage or a wizard.

<Jaffa> Good idea

<Treguard> "Hello! I thought somebody would call on me in this very late hour. You have called me here, so what is it that you want?"

<Majida> He arrives! This is the wizard yes? He has great power!

<Ark> We want to know what it is we're questing for!

<Treguard> "Yes. I'm surprised this wasn't revealed to you earlier on. Your aim is to find the gold medallion. This medallion possesses powers which you couldn't even begin to imagine, so it would definitely be a useful asset to the powers that be.

<Jaffa> And opening that door would be a bonus :)

<Treguard> You have also completed a small part of your quest goal. You have freed Meridian's companions. That was no small accomplishment, as you sacrificed time in order to save someone. 

<Treguard> For this action, I shall gift you with four spells. The spell REVEAL will allow you to take the medallion from it's imprisonment. 

<Treguard> One of the other three spells won't defeat, but will help you in getting rid of the evil one himself. So, just as a recap, your spells are:

<Treguard> You enter a circular room with two large exits, left and right. In front of you is a pit of lava, while hovering above it, a prism shaped object glows brightly. This room contains an oracle. It will help you, but might want something in return. 

<Treguard> "You have come in search of the Golden medallion Am I right?"

<Ark> That's right

<Treguard> "You have come very far, and have but a short way to go. If I could remember the rest then I could help you, but I can't remember. If you help me, then I will aid you. I may even give you a few spells which will be of much use to you."

<Ark> Offer Remember Past potion?

<Majida> And I think that you're going to need all the help you can get!

<Jaffa> Yup

<Treguard> "Thank you. Thank you indeed. I can now remember all that you need to know. In the next room, you will encounter, THE CAUSEWAY. 

<Ark> Give it the potion

<Treguard> Also, you will need the help of somebody powerful to get back. Here, take this potion, it is called SUMMON. It will summon the most powerful mage or wizard to you.

<Treguard> A potion appears in front of you.

<Ark> Take potion

<Treguard> You must use your wits to get across it, but since you have travelled this far, I presume that you have the wits necessary to complete your quest. Finally, 

<Treguard> you have a dilemma with choosing the right cup I see. Follow the rules of the dungeon and choose which way you think is best. Remember my words!!!"

<Treguard> The oracle becomes silent. 

<Majida> Well I'd be silent if I'd just talked that much. 

<Jaffa> If we have to choose - save the dungeon over the medallion

<Ark> Agreed

<Treguard> But Majida, you do talk that much. Shut up!

<Treguard> You exit...

<Treguard> You enter a large room. You are standing on a ledge, and in front of you, a causeway acts like a bridge which goes across the room. On the other side of the room is a teleporter. 

<Treguard> Evidently this is THE CAUSEWAY. It must be so big that it can't be fit into any one room, so The Unholy One has put a transporter at the end of the room which when passed through, will lead to another section of the causeway. 

Good Luck! Remember that this causeway has a time limit on it, just like the other ones, except much shorter. 


<Majida> Hurry! OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!! I don't believe it.

<Treguard> You are standing on a 2. The only help I can give you is that Plus, Minus, Divide and Times are important and that you must go from hexagon to hexagon. But always use the hexagon that you previously stepped on. 

<Treguard> But remember that the order in which you calculate may change i.e. stone that you are on X Previous stone and vice versa.

<Treguard> The good news is that all Is not lost. You can still save the dungeon from the horde of zombies. What you need to find is the talisman. Only with that can you control the zombies. 

<Treguard> But, even with the talisman, you will need to know how to operate it. 

<Treguard> i) Find the talisman. ii) Find a list of instructions showing how to operate the talisman. iii) Save me!

<Treguard> The talisman and all other objects cannot be found within either Level 1, 2 or 3, but only in Level 4. I'm sending you to Level 4 now!"

<Treguard> "Hey, stop that stupid Wizard! I thought I told you to keep an eye on him?!"
