More Powell To You

Post by Drassil »

As a pure celebration of Children's ITV, I'm not sure that the 20th anniversary Birthday Bash can be surpassed. But an earnest documentary with interviews and behind-the-scenes perspectives in addition to clips will of course be hugely welcome.

This tweet (and the tweets following) from Andy Crane is also interesting. It's good to know that ITV appreciates the value of nostalgia, not just weekend-to-weekend ratings grabbing.

Someone may have already posted this, but it seems Knightmare will get a mention in an ITV show celebrating 30 years of CiTV - on over xmas.

CITV to repeat Knightmare?

Post by Canadanne »

Not only that, apparently the CITV channel will be showing one or two episodes of Knightmare (alongside other classic shows) during the weekend of 5th-6th January, if this article is reliable! There's a schedule on Digital Spy, though I'm not sure where they've got it from:

Saturday 5th January
9:25am - Fun House
10:45am - Knightmare
11:15am - T Bag
12:00pm - Count Duckula
(Another site also lists Puddle Lane)
3:00pm - Wolf
4:30pm - Children's Ward
5:30pm - Super Gran

Sunday 6th January
9:25am - Fun House
10:45am - Knightmare
12:00pm - Dangermouse
12:40pm - Art Attack
1:30pm - Fraggle Rock
3:00pm - Press Gang
4:30pm - Children's Ward
5:30pm - Spatz

I'm trying very hard not to just start squealing like a giddy schoolgirl.

My Sky+ box is going to be busy. I can see at least 18 shows I want to keep.
