'Le Chevalier du Labyrinthe' ('The Knight of the Labyrinth') was the French version of Knightmare, produced by Marina Productions and Top No. 1 Productions in 1990. It was largely based on series 3 (1989) of the British version, using many of the same rooms and then adding their own features and effects.
An information pack containing photos, pictures and details about the show was issued at the press conference for the launch of the show. All the text from this pack was in French, so I have converted it into English using a web translator. Unfortunately, not everything is correctly converted into English, so if any sentences do not make sense, you know why!

Its very interesting to see how they adapted Knightmare for a French audience. Major differences were:

The advisers stand on a balcony to watch the adventure.

When a dungeoneer dies, he/she is replaced by one of the advisers and the quest continues. The dungeoneer does not re-join the advisors.

This continues until three dungeoneers have been killed, then the quest ends.

And the prize for winning was a SEGA games console!
There was also a Le Chevalier Du Labyrinthe board available. It is thought that this board game was the same format as the UK edition, with it also being by MB Games.
