I've got all the episodes for series 2 on video, I'll look out for the name Lewis Andrews.
Although I must say that I'm doubting your story.

Perfect Knightmare?

Post by Lowebo »

What would you need for your perfect series of knightmare? rooms, characters, objects, clues, etc?
For me, its
Corridor of Blades,
Lord F,
Sly Hands (or Conan The Vegetarian)
Barry!!,
Scrolls,
Wells,
and of course, the greatest saying ever -
First i'll blip ya, then i'll blop ya! (fantabolous acting!)
(and of course Mrs Grimwold ;))
One time willowthewisp... Never in the shadows.

I think for me-
The block and tackle as a level 1 chamber.
Corridor of blades connecting level 2 and 3.
Trial by spikes in level 2.
The Stained glass window room as a final chamber in level 3.
Wells as a way into level 2.
The brollachan asking difficult questions.
Pookas!
Brother mace.
Mogdred and Lord Fear combined as an unstoppable force of evil!!!
And of course Treguard and Pickle on the powers that be.

Id have to say,

No known opposition ( Like series 1-4 )
Inside locations only with maybe 1 or 2 outside bits
3 Question clue rooms
Gretel in level 1 wellway room
Block and tackle in level 2
Merlin with senial demensia
Mrs G and festus guarding level 2 mine cart to lv 3
Multi danger fast action lv 3 ( like series 3 ) with Mogdred
Corridor of blades in lv 3
Malefact

In grand tradition, I have been thinking about this. :)

I'd like a Dungeon, as opposed to going on safari. ;D

I'd like it to have the kind of 'deserted' feeling that the first four series had. I'd like to see lots of colour and lots of variation - not having a clue what the next room could be. The Dungeon must be ruthless, with lots of opportunities for getting rid of duff teams such as Bomb Rooms, the Corridor Of Blades etc. I want Catacombites, Ariadne, goblins, Cavernwights and all manner of ghosties.

As well as having the latter-day baddies, I'd also like to see a Mogdred-style baddie. He could perhaps haunt Level Two. I want to see a sort of horror-chiller element in that so that the audience is watching through their hands clasped to their eyes. :)

A really ripping Final Conflict would be very good, too, along with a Life Force emergency. The Clock, incidentally, must be in the style of the original. :)

I'd like to see a strong but subtle sci-fi element, too. This was always the thing that appealed to me most, as opposed to the more fantasy-oriented things. The implied science behind the fire in Treguard's antechamber and the Dungeon is something that I have always really liked.
Subject to change.

Hi there! This is my first posting on this forum. I have been reading lots of the past posts for quite a while though.
I think that it would have to have the original theme music and opening titles, which were amazing- I thought that the series 6-8 music and opening titles weren't very good. A few outside locations(like the green valley), but otherwise inside, wall monsters, but not every time (they are good, but it is a bit boring when you know every time that they are coming), loads of things chasing them (the knight, Ariadne e.t.c), the computer generated dwarf tunnels- basically all the series 1-3 rooms and characters mixed together. No Treguard assistant. The original life-force sequence. But... Lord fear could sometimes be the baddie, and there could be spyglasses- I think they're great.
Just one quick question- did anyone see Knightmare the other day, and these yellow letters kept popping up- no one mentioned them, as if they weren't there. What were they for?

All I REALLY want is the Corridor of Blades, and no walking into towns and markets that happaned in later series' Possibly alot of the original characters too. Oooh, and an intimidating Wall Monster!!

Strange. I'm scared of spiders but I love Ariadne....

Well, I'd just have to say a good Knightmare for me would be characters with a genuine wit, like Lord Fear in Series 7, and a real threat hanging over the dungeon - because that's what made classic Knightmare.
