While watching Series 1, I've been impressed by the quality of some of the animation (particularly since it was only 1987!). Most of the animations were hand-drawn and scanned into a computer, from which they were played backwards and forwards.

Here are a few AniGIFs of some animations from Series 1:

http://tomsonic.dyndns.org:90/temp/km/bridge.gif
The bridge obstacle from the last team's quest (doesn't loop properly)

http://tomsonic.dyndns.org:90/temp/km/c ... _small.gif
The catacombite chamber!

http://tomsonic.dyndns.org:90/temp/km/scorpion.gif
The scorpion room, used once in Series 1 and a few times in Series 2

And also, here are a couple of Life Force AVI files

http://tomsonic.dyndns.org:90/temp/km/death.avi
'Skull' Life Force Death scene, used for many Ooh Nastys ;)
(Assembled from three episodes, hence the Challenge logo jumping around)

http://tomsonic.dyndns.org:90/temp/km/l ... inning.avi
From Series 1 Episode 1. The whole Green condition of the Life Force animation, plus about 20% of the Amber condition.

Editing: A few more AniGIFs and another AVI

http://tomsonic.dyndns.org:90/temp/km/bombroom.gif - From a team dying in the Bomb Room, shows the bomb fuse rapidly burning and the explosion!

http://tomsonic.dyndns.org:90/temp/km/b ... _small.gif - Same as above, except this time I cropped each frame so only the bomb is shown (not the dungeoneer)

http://tomsonic.dyndns.org:90/temp/km/skeleton.gif - L3 Skeleton jumping up (and down) from final ep of Series 1!

http://tomsonic.dyndns.org:90/temp/km/stomach.gif - The moving monster's stomach 'room'

http://tomsonic.dyndns.org:90/temp/km/corrspears.avi - The final team demonstrates how NOT to get through the Corridor of Spears ;)

P.S. Illusion, if you think this topic is inappropriate or shouldn't be here, feel free to move or delete it.

Like the avi file, all you need now is to add sound to it. Unfortunately there is usually talking over it. I'll see if I can capture some sound. Sort of thing worthy of inclusion on the main site.

Strange it worked fine for me. Prehaps I was downloading a clip from the site whilst you were trying.

My server's on port 90, not 80 (default), because the ISP blocks incoming requests to port 80 for some reason. Some firewalls deny HTTP access to ports other than 80, that could be your problem.

Nice! ;D

Only complaint was a lousy transfer rate during download but that could easily be a glitch @ my end.

Keep 'em coming!
