I feel sorry for the bloke. Whenever he tries to help he gets a telling off ;D

"Merlin is no longer with us" :'( I liked ol' Merlin.

Just watched the 7.30am repeat. (or should that be a repeat of a repeat?) I was convinced this team were gonna die on a causeway, but they avoided it and took Smirkenoff Airways to Level 2. They were accompanied by the first appearance of Elita, who as Pickle said, is a "rude little cow...slip".

After a long and tedious faffle about what to take in the clue room, they meet Brother Mace in a game of chess. Interesting moment here- Mace says "Merlin is no longer with us" indicating he's dead, but then says something along the lines of "He's always losing things" rather than "He always lost things", indicating that he IS still with us...in a sense. After Sir Hugh makes his debut (loved Treguard describing him as an 'idiot') and a bit of bartering with Hands (who still has an unusual voice) they once again Time Out over a causeway. What next? All will be revealed tomorrow!

Oh, boy. This team's very dissapointing. After a lackluster performance on the causeway they met Elita and took a flight to level 2. In the clue room the scroll said "Move 1 forward and 2 left", a clear indication to take the chess piece. Anybody worth their salt knows 1 forward 2 left is one of the chess knight's moves. Met mace and got hints. Next up Sir hugh. Team asked for password into level 2 and Pickle gives them a funny look. Know why? Cuz the silly little dolts are already in level 2! (No offence to any of the team members if you read this. Hugh provides escort. After another spyglass they meet Sly who now sounds a little like that bloke from those films. What's his name? Really nice bloke, red and black sweater. Really lovely...Oh, that's right. Freddy Krueger. Bought a key and proceded into time out on another causeway. Notice during the credits the announcer mentions that "Fort Boyard is back at 7 next monday." Do you realise what this means? As of monday knightmare will no longer be on at 7.30. I checked ahead on the tv guide but couldn't find knightmare anywhere on monday's listings. any knews, anyone? Well, I'm off to write strong letters of complaint to Challenge! over their repeated annoying diddling with the schedule. Not really. Or should we?

It's been known for a while - and mentioned on the front page of the main website - that Knightmare is moving to weekends from the 4th september onwards. Two episodes a day on both Saturday and Sunday, so it'll only really be slightly slower progress - 4 episodes a week instead of 5.

Sir Hugh tells Sarah that he's just had "a dashed bruising joust ... with this strange fellow I met. He didn't have any arms or legs, this chap. Fought like a paladin though." Could this be a reference to the Black Knight in Monty Python and the Holy Grail?

I always assumed it was. The glaschwight in the first KM book is also called the Black Knight!

Team 3 negotiated the causeway easily, then encountered the dragon and Elita, an elf with with attitude.
 Is it possible that this rude and highly-strung elf could actually be the daughter of Cedric the abusive monk & Velda the stroppy elf? ;)
(altho i'm not sure they were in the dungeon at the same time....)
Elita tried to haggle and gave the team some attitude, but Sarah gave her some back and told her that's all the silver she had, take it or leave it! ;D Nice one.

In the level 2 clue room they missed the point of the scroll clue, but guessed the correct items anyway. (The chess piece wasn't a conventional chess knight.)
Nice scene where they return the chess piece to Brother Mace and received some info, then a rather pointless scene with Sir Hugh de Witless.
They were clever enough to not be tricked by Sylvester Hands, but took ages to agree their actual trade.
Time-out arrived on a causeway again....
