Unintended Knightmare references: restaurants and food

Post by HStorm »

In Prestwich Village, north Manchester, there's a chip shop called Ma Wolfenden's. I'll try and get a photo of it next time I'm there.

Took me a while, and the picture isn't very clear (I took it while driving past at 25-plus mph), but here's that photo I promised above, and a bit of free advertising for Grandma Wolfenden's rather pleasant fish 'n' chips.

In my local supermarket, a sign advertising a special offer on Cadbury Heroes misspelled it as "HEROS". It gave me the mental image of Treguard attempting to send a winning team home, only to make the same mistake and suffer the embarrassment of the "failed spell" sound effect. ;D

I saw an Indian restaurant called AKASH, and couldn't help but smile... I am so looking forward to that episode airing on Challenge!
