Hmm. It is good to see it in the top ten list- finally! It's interesting that it's the repeat of Series 3 that achieved this, and not the new Series 4.

However, I'd note that both the programme after, and, most awkwardly, the programme before on that day were higher in the ratings. Fort Boyard in what's probably a generally lower rating slot actually rated better.

So I'm not really sure what to think.

Perhaps the Fort Boyard ratings were a bit of a fluke...

I don't understand how you can lose 10'000 people before Knightmare and then gain 60'000 for Takeshi's castle!

Some (and by that I mean most) people have no taste...

Well, the extra viewers probably aren't interested in Km - probably not even seen it, either. I'm sure if they did they might change their minds. They probably have a preconceived (and incorrect) idea of what Km is like.

I hope that when the release last and this weeks figures it looks more promising. I also wish that Challenge? would do an omnibus, but I can't see that happening though!

Just a thought, can you imagine if there was a Japanese version of Knightmare. It wouldn't just be 'Ooh nasty' it would be 'Ooooohhh painful'

Either that or huge, gaudy coloured text would fill the screen whenever a dungeoneer came to an end!  :)

Thinking about it, a Japanese version might kill the dungeoneers for real!  :D

can anyone remember what episode that is?

Not much chance in beating that castle game is its on all the time but it shows people ARE intrested in knightmare and challege just need to keep pushing for it.

I've always hoped they'd do an omnibus, on Sundays in the afternoon like Eastenders...

Well, we can only hope

takehshi's castle is great :p  the best bit was when a team actually won and they got 'and what do they win... nothing!'

its quality entertainment.

although knightmare *is* better...

Knightmare is good, and i have to agree with what ive read in this forum, seeing a Japanese person fall over the bang their head, shins, elbow, kneecaps, whatever 4 times is enough for me.. Why do these episodes have to be repeated to death?

I did watch Takeshi's Castle for about a week, but then I was bored enough not to tune in any more. I guess it's a good format, and has a "unique" factor. The problem will come if Challenge decide to fill their schedules with similar offerings. Putting all your scheduling eggs in one basket may not be a good idea in the medium to long term.

On the KM ratings again, I suppose the real issue is consistency. If the daily evening episode is getting close to that figure every day, and just failing to get onto the "Top 10" list, then hurrah. If it was just a complete one off, then not hurrah. Of course, we don't really have any idea if the ratings are consistently decent or not, so it's hurrah but not hurrah all at once, if you catch my drift.

*GG thinks "catch my drift" is a wretched speech fragment and is ashamed to have uttered it.*

You know the more I watch it (which I must admit isnt that often) the more i feel that Challenge only bought 5 programmes of Takeshi's castle and are just repearting them ad nauseum. I 'm, pretty sure this 'craze' will die out in about 2 months time paving the way for the remaining 6 series of Knightmare.....

With an omnibus on Sunday afternoons
;D

Aren't more viewing figures out tomorrow? I hope that they look more promising! :( (And yes I do know that there's no plans for further series' yet, so what after series 4? series 3 again)

I also believe the Takeshis phase will die out soon, when people get fed up of japanese people falling and hurting themselves just for the fun of it
