Oh dear god...this has been gone over so many times! Right. Must not be annoyed with Motley...not his fault.

Series 1 and 2 are in a completely different format to the other series. One of their tapes weighs about as much as one of our modern VCRs. You could kill someone with it. It makes sense to think that to convert the format from the early version to a more modern digital version or similar will cost a great deal and Challenge quite frankly don't have the money at the moment. If Challenge choose to show all the way from series 3 to series 8 and believe that it is popular enough, they may consider the first two series.

NOTE: Calling all KM fans! Do NOT bug Challenge about this. They are already unhappy with quite a few people for griping about KM and if they get any more bods popping up and moaning they may well take it off the air altogether. I'm sure no-one would like to feel that they were partly to blame for the second demise in ten years of Knightmare.

Don't worry. we're not real idiots.  ;D

And if you chucked a recent video cassette it could still kill them...though I'm not going to attempt that sort of thing.

Can't believe challenge wouldn't put on The Krypton Factor again.... :( Still, like I've said before, they've got families to care for and mouths to feed, and the books need to be balanced, so challenge must go for the common denominator. Much as I don't like those people. Ususally.

This gotta end quick or the whole thing will erupt again..... :o

Sci-Fi maybe had vhs broadcast masters, I've picked up a few for other programs myself in the past.

Having said that, please remember that Knightmare is at least 12 years old! The CITV broadcast masters may have long gone or been sold to Sci-Fi.

If the original film is the size of a modern VCR, I dread to see the size of the player!

Another thought is one you could blame on us here at the forum:- Didn't james_P say that series 3 was decided on after the seeing the polls that were conducted at Knightmare.com??

Series 1 is now 16 years old, which means it can legally buy cigarettes or play the National Lottery. Not that I'd encourage that kind of thing.  :-/

Whereas series 5 is two-thirds as old as I am.

That's rather shocking, to be quite honest. I can remember that far back.

Didn't sci-fi show series one and two back when the format wasn't a problem? It would make sense, plus Sci-fi has a much wider audience than Challenge and could probably afford to change the format, whilst Challenge is very specialist and most likely does not have the funds to do this.

Why do people get so angry over this? I've seen them int he Challenge forum - isn't Knightmare alone good enough? You can't have everything, can you?!

I'd really like to see Series 6 make a comeback. It was the first series of Kinghtmare that I ever saw, back in 1991 when I was only 5! I loved every second of it, & can't wait to see if it makes a comeback. I'm just praying that Challenge? buy the rights to play them.

Also, Series 3 - 5 have been cool. Just goes to show what they can do without modern computer graphics like today.  :)

Look, Anglia must have series 1 and 2 on a modern format of video tape as series 1 and 2 were shown on the sci-fi channel!

If you look up, I DID say that sci-fi may have shown it when the format wasn't a problem at that point. It WAS a while ago in comparison - technology was slower compared to how quickly its moving now.

Sorry too say but S1 & S2 WERE shown on SCI-FI recently (when compared too CITV showing Knightmare) and S6, S7 & S8 have not been shown since CITV so i think its fair they get their turn, i saw S1 & S2 on SCI-FI.
So Challenge Dont Show S1 & 2 untill you've shown S6, 7 & 8 PLZZZZZZZZZZZZ  :)
