I notice some of the old guard have spotted this already but in case anyone has missed it. It appears that Knightmare is coming to the theatre...

Oh, I would SO love to go and see that!

I hope it gets posted online somewhere afterwards!

Looks promising.

Hopefully they'll do some previews down south of the border beforehand too.

Thank you for the link, Andy. I've long thought that interactive Knightmare-style questing would be great at the Edinburgh Festival. I only hope that the organisers have sorted out any copyright issues in advance. Perhaps the Scotland-based Knightmare actors, i.e. Alec Westwood (Folly) and Audrey Jenkinson (Gretel), will drop by.

This won't be the first time that Knightmare has been turned treading the path into treading the boards. David Learner adapted the fifth Knightmare book (The Forbidden Gate) {for the stage}, and he and Hugo Myatt performed in it. Disappointingly, we don't know all that much about this production and how the interactive element worked.

Cliff Barry has responded to this on Twitter. Maybe they could get him involved while he's there?!

The Knightmare Facebook page's recent status update about Knightmare Live appears to be missing a word or two, leaving something to the imagination. ;)

The word 'presents' at the start of the status update could lead people to believe that Knightmare Live is affiliated to Knightmare.com, or to Knightmare itself, i.e. the makers of the TV series. As far as I know, neither is true (much as we support them!).

With regards to future status updates on the Knightmare Facebook page, I'm guessing that "recommends" would be more appropriate than "presents" should the need for such terminology arise once again.

As for wording and grammar, each status update is thoroughly double checked before being posted live (it will be seen by thousands, after all), but I guess there'll always be one or two that will still slip through the net....

I hope you'll write a review of it afterwards for the rest of us!

Would love to see this, but don't think I'd be able to go to the Edinburgh Festival. :'(

I think I have an offer of a free ticket somewhere :)
But I'll be going anyway, since I'll be up in Edinburgh at the time.
