Parody of Atmosphere by Russ Abbot

Based on Atmosphere by Russ Abbot (1984). Original lyrics Oh what a dungeoneer I said "Ooh nasty" to a hapless dungeoneer And he's no longer there 'Cause I dismissed him from the dungeon of Knightmare Well we're at the dungeon party And you're out there on a quest With your three friends here to gui...

Re: Corbiss the Bemuser

Corbiss the Bemuser is confronted at his allotment by the Norman inquisitor André Cauchemarr. There are awkward questions about when Corbiss stopped accepting gold from the Opposition to appear in its spyglass communications channel, known as Fear One. Corbiss responds by planting dragon's teeth and...

Re: Radio Times 'top children's programmes of all time'

I've edited my earlier post once more to include results from Classic KidsTV's 50 Greatest Kids' TV Shows vote, released a couple of days ago. Whereas Radio Times had 30 pre-selected voters with five nominations each, Classic KidsTV was open to all Twitter users and invited 10 nominations each. The ...

Re: Radio Times 'top children's programmes of all time'

I've edited my previous post to show where each show came in Channel 4's The 100 Greatest Kids' TV Shows (2001), if anywhere. The shows were selected by Channel 4 but the public voted for them; Knightmare beat Blue Peter by 15 places. Pat Sharp doesn't seem the type to hold or provoke any rivalries....

Re: Series 4 - Episode 16

Brett, I am still noticing new things about this episode. As a side effect of Merlin's Christmas conjuring, the items you and the team were holding disappeared: helmet, eyeshield and clipboards. It also put out the candle behind Treguard. As a side effect of Treguard casting DISMISS, the candle behi...

Parody of Don't Dream it's Over by Crowded House

Nearly 14 years ago, I came up with the line 'Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's ogre'. Now here's a full set of lyrics, looking at the ogre encounters in three quests: Kelly's (Series 3), Sophia's (Series 6) and Dickon's (Series 4). Based on Don't Dream it's Over by Crowded House (1986). Lyrics , v...

15 years of this forum

As well as Knightmare's 30th, this year has brought another anniversary that we overlooked at the time: it's 15 years since posting began on the current incarnation of the Knightmare forum. Members started coming over from the old Knightmare forum in mid-November 2002. The earliest post I can find i...

Parody of Mistletoe and Wine by Cliff Richard

Based on Mistletoe and Wine by Cliff Richard (1988). By coincidence, I recall one of his concerts being broadcast not long after the series in question ended. Video , Lyrics Tim Child is the king of chromakey things The summer's passed, there's a new beginning "Enter, stranger", start the show Roll ...

Re: Knightmare Audio Series: Christmas Special 2017

Haha, thanks! How did you find out about my TV appearance? ;) I saw your tweet about it. It's important to respect the privacy of fellow Knightmare fans, but since you'd already made it public, I hoped you wouldn't mind me mentioning it here. Thank you for the YouTube link: my preferred way of list...
