You may remember me, I used to run nktp.freeserve.co.uk aka the old Knightmare Trading Post. The site used to be at http://www.nktp.freeserve.co.uk which is now a holding page and has been since December 2002.

I did come on here for a reason, namely about something I found in the archive ZIP of my site but first I decided to quickly do a search on here under my NKTP handle. Just as well I did, I have a couple of things to say too. The flow of this post is thus dependent on the search results.

Generally:

1. I am still around, I don't visit as often as I did, I am now running a very successful website about Crossroads which keeps me busy.

2. NKTP's forum is not dead. It's still there but the post mark indicators and what not have since been removed. The forum works, if you know what the URL is after ezboard finish faffing around with their architecture. The previous Bravenet one is still around too.

3. NKTP was not closed down because of a certain individual's desire to milk the community for all it was worth so far as tape trading was concerned; it was purely my own decision at the time.

4. NKTP lives on in the Wayback Machine. http://web.archive.org/web/*/www.nktp.freeserve.co.uk is the web address - whether all of it (images, files, downloads etc) is preserved I don't have time to check. Do not use any email addresses or forms on there, they are now most likely defunct.

Now, lets deal with some of the returned results:

1. Copyright Concerns. I understand that somebody took episodes of Knightmare onto eBay and made rather too much money out of the trade. NKTP's "Suppliers" section was built around the idealogy of "not for profit" which I consider to not be illegal; it only becomes so when profit is made. Charges for Post & Packaging are, IMO, acceptable.

2. Anybody who's emailed me since I last posted on here will have probably not had a reply, bearing in mind that my freeserve (and others) inbox now attracts copious amounts of garbage to it.

3. Resurrection of NKTP - may happen without the Supplier section (since it is now obsolete) but the last version of the site painted me into a corner so far as the design went and it will have to change again before it can go back as an archive.

4. Full soundtrack of Episode 1 - NKTP did have this but I put it on free Xoom webspace, they merged with NBCi, the webspace disappeared and I dunno what I did with the file since.

5. No number 5.
