Is such and such going to win?" and so on...

Also, strictly speaking they weren't graphics, they were hand-paintings, and as paintings go they were remarkable. I mean, is the Mona Lisa rubbish just because it doesn't look as convincing as a photograph? Should we burn Hanz Holbein's masterpieces simply because the style he used has been outmoded by photography and CGI?

The hand-paintings don't look ideal for the purpose for which they were devloped, it's true, but even they had a strength the photographic images of S4-7 lacked, which is they could look like anything the artist could picture in his mind. Photographing reality, by contrast, is restrictive. That made the paintings seem more fantastical and magical than the environments of the photo era, and given the supernatural nature of KM, that was very valuable.

The graphics in the 80's were rubbish. Thats pretty much the reason why i prefer S4-8 (1990-94)

I still enjoyed watching KM though even in the earlier seasons

Well you have to admit the graphics were pretty good considering computer graphics weren't the top of things in the late 80's
