<![CDATA[The Dunshelm Players: Amber - COMING SOON BUT HELP NEEDED]]>Update on progress with The Techno-Colour Tales. Episode 5, called Amber, will definitely be the concluding part of the series. To this end, I've had to cut a number of scenes from the early script-draft to make sure I don't have to split it into two parts - I just couldn't bear the series to get any longer.

This is making the job of writing the script probably the most difficult ever, as removing scenes while finding other parts of the story to 'transplant' important information into is quite a trick. The first draft should be ready in the next few days to pass around to the cast though.

This episode will feature Peggatty (that's the 'other' Grey Sister who was only ever seen throwing fireballs at passers-by from her broomstick - not Heggatty or Mistress Goody), who has not been cast yet. If anyone would be interested in playing the part, please let me know on this thread. As the character was never really defined at all by the series, it should be a role that an actress will have a lot of freedom to interpret.

The Gatemaster is also likely to make an appearance, though not a major one. Martin Harder currently has 'bagsies' on that role, but again, if anyone else is interested, please let me know and we'll keep you on standby just in case.

Interestingly, two characters who won't be in it are Treguard and Majida. (Although that's no big deal as they didn't feature in the first part either.) Anyone who's been following the series should have an idea why they're not in this one.

Please note that The Techno-Colour Tales are meant as a prequel to a story called Tech-Topia, which is likely to be the last-ever play in the Famous For Retreating continuity, so Amber isn't likely to end on a very conclusive note in itself.

So here's a snippet; -

It's taken nearly two-and-a-half years to make all five plays in the series, but The Techno-Colour Tales are now complete, with the final episode, Amber now available to download for free from the below address. The episode is 40 minutes long, with the MP3 file about 37.5MB in size.

As made clear before, this episode is not a very 'conclusive' conclusion, as the Tales are meant to set up the final play in the continuity, working title Tech-Topia. However, there are certainly plenty of very significant events in this one, and also there's quite a lot of serious action in the later stages.

Please watch this board for news of when casting on Tech-Topia begins.
