I thought that was a pretty unfair death. How were they to know that the area was quicksand? Treguard didn't tell them, and despite getting a perfect score at Golgarach he never told them either.

as it says on the series guide, that team had died on the serpent tongue but were allowed to continue playing as the next team had not arrived.

i have to wonder tho how that team managed to die on the tongue.

i wud imagine it have to have been a case of the dungeoneer being guided off the tongue by his advisor. dungeoneers who ended up in the serpent in later episodes were always given a way out.
