I seem to recall similar things happening to the website a year or two ago, but I didn't think the forum was on the same server? In any case, it's made me chuckle.

When I tried to get onto the forum this evening though I kept getting something like "Timed out, Connection reset by peer" or something similar and also one of those "This page cannot be displayed" page a couple times as well.
