<![CDATA[Parody of We Didn't Start the Fire by Billy Joel]]>In the '80s, Bily Joel released a song called 'We Didn't Start The Fire', where he listed (in rhyme to music) all the figures and events since the year he was born that had contributed to the state of the nation (the USA) and affected his generation. The original lyrics can be found here and elsewhere, and the song can be heard here.

After some very late nights, I've reworked the lyrics into 'We Didn't Stop The Knightmare'. Over on the Back-Up Forum is a 'making of' post, showing how the new lyrics reflect the original in various places.

There are still some discrepancies in the lyrics that I may need to iron out. Also, I have used various Forum members' usernames in the lyrics, as they helped with the rhyme and metre. If anyone concerned objects, please let me know and I'll change the words.

Then I divided the list up into one-syllable terms, two-syllable terms, and so on. Then I substituted each word/phrase in Billy Joel's lyrcs with a KM word one by one. It took many hours. I also sung it through with an online karaoke version of the original song, just to check it worked!
