I think the main problem with Nicky's team is that they were too indecisive! For example the polar bear question was queried by other team members and then they went for the answer that they said originally!

Also, as for that wall coming down in the wall room, you definitely knew they were going to lose as they didnt use it for any other quests! And I agree she never made that door in time!

well they probs allowed them to contine based on the next team wasnt ready... lol.

Ans they sau their is enough food to finish a quest.. but if they didn't take it then the would have been killed off due to low life force and the help of a nice white skull to speed things along..

Greetings, well-fed traveller

I loved Treguard's description of recent dungeoneer Simon as 'not a starving traveller'. Nothing like a kids TV show to point out that one of the contestants is a little on the tubby side.

Anyway, I've been lurking in the background for too long and my mistress Grimaldine finally decided to let me out. Raaaaaaaaah!

Greetings, Festus! How art? Having fun? And yes I totally agree - nothing wrong with a bit of gentle jesting. People are much too sensitive these days...

I don't think it would be a good idea to go out there and reduce Festus's Life source - I mean...it's FESTUS, damn it. He'd damned well end my days as a haunting skull in one supernaturally enhanced bite.

{Peers over the of the wellway, blinking a couple of times at Festus.}

Eep...Even thinkin' about it makes me shiver - and that's not an easy thing for us floating skulls to do, I can tell you.

{Floats nervously around for a moment.}
WoOOo, I am the floating Skull - bite my shiny cranium!!!
It still waits.

Yeah, I think Treguard should've done that more often...

I remember a few occasions, especially in the earlier series, where the life force did run out - in a way.

On one of the end-of-series segments, the team was killed because they didn't have the horn to bring down the walls of Jericho. They couldn't do anything, so just had to wait for the life force to run out and they died.
Another time a team didn't have the right object/spell to reveal the correct door to take, and kept coming back to the same room over and over! When they exhausted all the doors the team tried to make the dungeoneer go back in the one he came out of, but there is no turning back... starvation... 'Skull' life force death.

And what about the winning teams in the later series, where the dungeoneer had to make it back to Knightmare Castle before the life force ran out?

Oh, about the ceiling coming down - once the ceiling had got halfway down the screen you could no longer see the dungeoneer, so you didn't know whether they would have been killed or not!

yeah but i call that dieing by not choosing the correct item. the life force running out was what killed them but if they's chose the horn they would have found food or somthing...etc. swings and roundabouts realy, but since when they left the horn they became a losing team the life force was just a means to an end.

What about the first dungeoneer, when she came on the screen they were taken aback!

"Well I suppose looks can be deciving!"

As for Simon, it looks like the helmet was a bit of a tight fit on him!

Well even if food was in that room..they would have still been killed off due to wateing around for to long.

In fact the life force does come up everyonce in a while even with out food.. and sometimes the team have 2 rooms right after each other with food
