I was thinking...

Post by Zeeky »

Is it possible that in the clips section that there is also a Windows Media Player section? Cos I can't download RealPlayer. And the only Windows Media Player clip there is is the Life Force sequence, which is blurred up until you see the skull zooming in. It really annoys me. >:( Who agrees with me?

Well, regarding the clock, that clip was assembled from various different captures because the entire animation was never shown. Also, only the last few seconds are the best resolution because that was the only occasion when it filled the screen - the life force death sequence. On all the other occasions, it was sat in the corner.
Subject to change.

I'm sure it's technically possible to produce clips in Windows Media Player format, but that would probably involve encoding each clip again from video capture, unless anyone knows of a way to convert Real files to Windows Media files.

As there are well over 100 clips, this would be a large and time consuming task and I'm afraid would not be possible.

Out of interest why can you not download RealPlayer?

Hey, I went to Newcastle too when I was on my holiday.

I'm actually a Windows Meida Player user too, for some reason I can't seem to get RealPlayer to work without paying/doing something else that I can't do.

Yes, Real make it deliberately difficult to find the free RealOne Player from their website. It is there, but you need to look carefully for the right link to the free player.
