To that end, anyone know of somewhere that I might be able to track down 'Fortress of Assasins'? It's the only one of the 7 that I, so far, haven't been able to get. Got a .PDF of it a while back but that just ain't the same...:-[
Were there seven books?  I thought there were only six!
I thought I had them all.
I've seen Fortress of Assassins a couple of times at car boot sales.  Other than that I wouldn't know where to look Snowcat.
I do have in my KM memorabilia a T-shirt with KM castle on it.  Unfortunately I am now too big to wear it.

Stupid question Glenn but who's Emilia? If it's who I think it is she'll probably love you for calling her that (I don't think so somehow actually). Also Lord_Bob, would that be the Lord_Bob of old or the new ringmasterrob?

To Moana: Emilia is presumably Snowwiewolf.

To Wills Of Doom: There were indeed 7 KM books  -  4 novellas and 3 kids' storybooks.

They were...

Knightmare (Can You Beat The Challenge?)
The Labyrinths Of Fear
Fortress Of Assassins
The Sorcerer's Isle
The Forbidden Gate
The Dragon's Lair
Lord Fear's Domain

Oh, I thought that he meant Emilia was Emii or visa versa!

No Emii is Emily Bradshaw. Emilia is Emilia Pulianen. (I hope I spelt that right, Snowwie!)

Apart from checking amazon.co.uk and ebay.co.uk regularly for Knightmare books on sale, there are also quite a few listed on http://www.abebooks.co.uk/.

Indeed, Lord Fear's Domain (the last book) is the most difficult of the Knightmare books to find. Not sure why, perhaps it had a smaller print run, or was never re-printed as Knightmare finished. Or perhaps because it wasn't advertised on CITV, not many people bought it!

If you were a member of the Knightmare Adventurer's Club, you would have heard about it.  ;D

It is 'Lord Fear's Domain' I don't have.  Drat! and double drat!  Oh well, the hunt for the missing KM book begins.
I was foolish enough not to join the adventurer's club.

To be brutally honest, Wills, if I were you I'd only go out of my way to get Lord Fear's Domain if I were a completist. It's quite an infantile book really, with an over-dependence on those irritating arithmetical puzzles that Dave Morris was always so enamoured with. It's also a very different type of book to all the others, as it's really just a puzzle book disguised as a novella.

I have them all except Labyrinths and Lord Fear's Domain. I have the boardgame as well. I always used to look for them when they were advertised at the end of the prog. I used to probably buy one book each year when i went on holiday - W.H. Smith's manchester Airport always had a fine selection. Why did you need to know this?

I don't like the look of knightmare VR. there's no sense of danger for the dungeoneer as they arent real

But then a death could be made gory, which I'd fear. Certainly not children's viewing then though, which I would hope that it's for all ages.

The key thing is to make the viewer care about the dungeoneer, whether they are real or avatar. It is a concern, but Televirtual know what they are doing. If they can create suspense it will work.
I'd like to see a slight step-up in the gore factor. That'd bring in the viewers!

Off topic but does the layout of this thread seem strange? I seem to have a problem viewing this thread properly, I don't know if it's a problem with the thread itself. Is anyone else having the same problem with it or and any other thread?

Back to the topic though, are the advisors going to be real or VR? If they are VR are they going to be controlled by contestants?

Yes, I'm having this difficulty as well.

I would guess by looking at the TimeGate pilot that the advisors will be real. I certainly hope that will be the case (as with Treguard and the entire antechamber) because it will help distinguish between fantasy and reality.
