We're almost at the end of our inter-season break. The last part of Famous For Retreating will be this coming Friday (8th), and then the following week we commence series 2!
I'd just like to say the amount of support we've received for the first series has been overwhelming. Thank you so much to everybody who's given the podcast a go. A couple of days ago we broke 1,000 individual listeners, which I never dreamed would ever happen.

Enjoyed this week's chat with Amy!
Re: the lack of a DISMISS spell when the team get turned to stone - I think the dungeoneers automatically materialise outside the castle when they die, and Treguard only uses DISMISS for the advisors, so it kinda makes sense that when the advisors die too, the whole team is immediately restored to life outside. (As Amy mentioned in the podcast, the dungeoneers seem to be given temporary bodies that remain behind after they leave; this particular quest implies the advisors aren't present in their real bodies either.) This does however leave the mystery of who scuttles in to remove the petrified advisors from the antechamber before the next lot arrive!

I've been a bit lax on posting here recently, So I apologise.
The podcast is going from strength-to-strength. Next week we're covering the last part of Mark, Daniel, Matthew and Jonathan's quest from series 2 (a big moment in the history of the show, as most of you are already aware).
We also have a new website! You can check it out at
https://www.knightmarepod.co.uk
We've just recorded an interview with Jason Karl, formally Julian Smith, the Dungeoneer of the second team to beat the challenge. We'll be editing it into the podcast when we cover the quest.

I had a dream about this podcast last night. The two of you discussed a whole scene in which Mogdred disguised himself as a frumpy old woman to pose a series of riddles (which somehow didn't strike me as unusual). Then I had a conversation with Martin H that doesn't make any sense now, but was so funny at the time that I laughed myself awake. Thanks for the entertainment, I guess.

There's something beautiful about the irony of a Knightmare podcast influencing somebody's dreams

Our latest episode features a very special guest in the form of Dungeoneer Stuart Leatherland. Stuart explains why the team seemingly ignored the Adventurer's Code and took a weapon in the clue room, and we discover a contoversy regarding his trousers.

From today's episode, I've always heard the disembodied Merlin line as something like "Beware of Mogdred and his minions" (which makes me wonder who or what might be counted among Mogdred's minions).
