Knightmare Convention

Post by Mystara »

As you may have seen from our Facebook page, we are looking at running a Knightmare Convention in Norwich in January, subject to there being sufficient interest.

Aside from the possibility of meeting cast and crew, there may be the opportunity to play a room of the dungeon.

If you're interested in attending, please let us know. Preferably on the Facebook post itself.

Sounds like a wonderful opportunity, consider my interest registered. I am also open to offering ideas and suggestions as well as offering to spread the word across a variety of social media platforms and relevant communities I am involved with.

I could be there. I'm only in Lowestoft.

I'm miles away (Cornwall!) and I'll be there (I've already looked at coach prices; excited? Me?).

The numbers are good, but they're not great.

About half of the people who have 'liked' have commented. If we assume that 50% of the people who like it will attend, then we're only at about 250 people.

Of course, Facebook's bizarre approach of only really showing a post for about 24 hours isn't helping.

Does January give you much time to organize and promote a really successful event? plus it's not the most pleasant time of the year. And is it too short notice to book guests?

Take Nor-con in Norwich for example, so much hard work and time goes into that one weekend, they work on it all year pretty much.

Has any guest's been booked if the convention takes place? Or are you trying to get some numbers first?

I understand what Wombstar is saying. There is not a lot of time between now and January to pull this off. I'm sure you can do this of course!
