Wherein we speak of our favourite assistants to the Doctor.
For me, it's got to be the thoroughly decent Harry Sullivan, who joined the 4th Doctor for his first season along with Sarah Jane. Quintessentially british, very self de-preciating, wonderfully archaic use of the vernacular and the greatest sideburns of all time.

Re: Favourite companion thread
I like Harry!
My all-time favourite companion is Sarah-Jane - probably because she didn't have to rely on the Doctor all the time, she was feisty and quite brave. And she still is today

Izzy Sinclair, the long-standing companion of the Eighth Doctor in the comic series. A young, spunky sci-fi geek; lots of great clothes; very witty in certain circumstances; gets turned into a fish creature and back again; great hair; lesbian! What's not to like?

Ah, if we're playing the Expanded Universe game, then my other vote would go to Evelyn Smyth. She succeeded in turning the 6th Doctor into a likable yet still deliciously bombastic chap. That deserves massive props.

It so happens that there are KM/DW crossover fanfics featuring both these companions and their initial Doctors. Downloadable from here.Dark Comet wrote:Ah, if we're playing the Expanded Universe game, then my other vote would go to Evelyn Smyth.

Re: Favourite companion thread
As far as the comic strip companions go, the most recent one - Majenta Pryce - is one of my favourites. I also like Izzy, Kroton and Destrii
