Parody of Is This the Way to Amarillo

Post by Mashibinbin »

This was requested to be put up last night in chat. I'm not sure the best place for it, probably the bin, but moderators feel free to put it in a more suitable place.

Sha la la lala lalala
Sha la la lala lalala
Sha la la lala lalala

When the quest is dawning
Following a schoolday Friday morning
how I long to be there
with Treguard who's waiting for me there

Every single lesson,
(La LaLaLaLa)
that I have to reckon,
(La LaLaLaLa)
ain't as half as scary,
as where level three's at,

Is this the way to Dunshelm, no?
every night I've been wanting to go
dreaming dreams of Knightmare
and the perils that wait for me,
Show me the way to Dunshelm, oh!
I've been craving like a wino
sulking over Dunshelm
and the quest waiting for me

Sha la la lala lalala
Sha la la lala lalala
Sha la la lala lalala
and the quest waiting for me

There's a Dungeon bell ringing
hear the tone of doom that it's clanging
for the phase shift is now approaching is for all to hear
just beyond the pathway, there's an open fire
and starting each September it keeps me flowing with desire

Is this the way to Dunshelm, no?
every night I've been wanting to go
dreaming dreams of Knightmare
and the perils that wait for me,
Show me the way to Dunshelm, oh!
I've been craving like a wino
sulking over Dunshelm
and the quest waiting for me

Sha la la lala lalala
Sha la la lala lalala
Sha la la lala lalala
and the quest waiting for me
Sha la la lala lalala
Sha la la lala lalala
Sha la la lala lalala
and the quest waiting for me
Sha la la lala lalala
Sha la la lala lalala
Sha la la lala lalala
and the quest waiting for me

Good. Gravy.

Whoever came up with those rousing lyrics deserves a medal and a muffin. Or even a medal shaped muffin.

Good work - that song was crying out to be reworked! Though I think it's better suited to the long-established songfic thread: http://www.knightmare.com/forum/http:// ... readid=818 . If I started a new thread for every songfic I wrote, General Discussion would be swamped!
