I still say he's an orc.

Whatever could you be referring to? Please, let's not turn this topic from 'Something Stirs' into 'Someone's Stirring'...Aldude wrote: Maybe they were going for the whole "Keith Richards" look
If Garstang is a character named after a place, I wonder how many of Knightmare's places are named after people. A lot of them happen to be surnames, such as Vanburn, Dunkley, Wolfenden and Gore.Helvellyn wrote:Should he therefore have a Lancastrian accent?beveryafraid wrote: His name is Garstang.
The KMVR Goblin codenamed Beveryafraid is now an orc named Garstang, however there isn't necessarily a conflict in that. In Series 3, Golgarach asked Scott's team what goblins are called in Tolkien, and the answer he sought was orcs; so maybe they're synonymous in the Knightmare realm too. Or perhaps when Lord Fear received his latest batch of goblins from Malapith, he decided to rebrand them as orcs in order to cash in on the success of the Lord Of The Rings films.Pooka wrote: I still say he's an orc.

Re:SOMETHING STIRS
Solving this mystery may be beyond you so I'll help, although you're probably not going to believe this.....
Whilst teaching an artificial intelligence that it was an Orc/Goblin, I named it Beveryafraid (after myself).
However, as I taught it and it got cleverer, it wanted to know who was teaching it?
As I'd made it suspicious of humans, I told him that his teacher was another Orc called Garstang.
Sometime later - and perhaps because I was inexperienced in teaching an AI, he got confused, and decided HIS name was Garstang.
Rather than argue with him, I gave in and continued teaching him as Garstang.
..told you no one would believe it.

Is Garstang attending the meetings etc.? I imagine he would probably liven things up a bit.

This is great news! At least something's going on! I wonder if this has anything to do with Channel 4 public service provider plans to concentrate on the younger audience (10+)........?

Actually, those of us who've experienced the oft-staggering outspokenness of Caei, Knightmare Chat's resident chatbot, are able to believe almost anything when it comes to AI!beveryafraid wrote: ..told you no one would believe it.
Out of interest, what has the 'evolutionary' journey been like between George at jabberwacky.com, whom you mentioned to us in a post two years ago, and Garstang?
