what would be amazingly good for the knew knightmare is this.
if we say for example the three level system is kept.
the dungeoneer with advisors get through 1&2 and then at the very start of level three a "blind" spell is put upon the dungeoneer and SUDDENLY we're back to original knightmare in the hardest level! that would be one of the greatest nods to the past possible

Good one!
As for the tensest room, it's hard to choose between the Big 3 (causeways, blades and cards), but I think I'll have to go for the blades.

well all the ones said are probs the best but there are a few others. I always liked the room used in season 4.. not sure its name but takes them to level 3 with the big knight in the left side of the screen.
also any time the life force is about the die.. that moment in season 4 with the wining team is a good example.

My name say's it all, the Corridor of Blades has got to be the most tense room, but block and tackle has been know to push me to the edge of my seat also.

i think the block and tackle also has that extra randomness which makes it harder. i mean, you never know when the sideways blocks are gonna start moving. corridor of blades is nasty alright but at least you "see whats coming"

The block and tackle's got to be the best, some teams got so tense in that room they made their dungeoneers sidestep left, hehe

Problem with the block and tackle it was so fast.. they where killed almost straight away or ran across and got past.. so for me i don't think etnse was the right word it was over before it started

Several things from Series three and four as I can't remember much else.
Series four: Corridore of blades, Block and Tackle, Ariadne's Lair
Series three: Bomb room
All: Anything with a dungeoneer being followed or chased. The music also and sounds like the goblin horn from the goblin hunting team!

I'm not actually sure that I found that many rooms actually 'tense'. For me it was more the frustration of the advisors not getting a move on and telling their dungeoneer what to do.
Did anyone else not find it really frustrating that the first few words as the dungeoneer enterd every single room was...
'Where am I?'
'You're in a room...'
I'm suprised one of the dungeoneers didn't go...
'REALLY?, what? A ROOM! Goodness, I was expecting to be outside in the middle of a storm wearing a lightning conductor on my head...'
