Forum Problems?

Okay, there does appear to be something wrong with the forum at the moment, not least because it currently thinks it's still yesterday (Sunday) instead of today (Monday) and this is confusing up all the posts! The date is set by the web server, and I have e-mailed my ISP to report the problem.
Also, are people having problems posting in the forum? Whilst I can still post okay, I note that there have not been any posts since early this morning. If you are having problems, could you please report it to me at
info@knightmare.clara.net (obviously you won't be able to respond here!).
Thanks.

If you are finding that the forum keeps logging you out, try ticking the 'Always stay logged on' box in the login screen.
I have a feeling that both these problems are related.

It seems to have worked, as I havn't been logged out! Hopefully things will be back to normal later. Remember there's also the backup forum if you still can't login. Elita, I wonder if the server is on ME
Edit: hmmm the board says that there are knew posts, which I have already read *scratches chin*

Of course you have to tick the 'always stay logged in button'. Thats not a fault.
Btw, I hope you don't mind me asking, but I want to convert a similar board (my takeshi's castle board) to yaBB SE, and can't find a converter, wondered where you got it from

Previously if you did not tick the 'Always stay logged in box', you were logged in for that session. After 6 hours of inactivity, you were automatically asked to log in again (the cookie expired).
Now, you are logged out as soon as you log in and click on any link in the forum. We had this problem before on the old YaBB board, but I noticed the problem was with the page frames and it was sorted.
Have a look at
www.yabbse.org to download the converter etc. The one on the download site linked there did not work for me, I used the one posted on the YabbSE message board. Have a browse.

Thankyou.
by the way... why are avatars disabled?

If I remember correctly, avatars only appear on the profile screen as having them on show all the time would slow the forum down. I think this is the reason why, but please correct me if I'm wrong!

This is correct. I like to keep the forum as clutter free and fast loading as possible.

It is actually tuesday, April 20 as I post this, but the forum has it as Wednedsay, April 21st. What is the cause?

Hmm the forum clock appears to be playing up/a day ahead again

It probably doesn't realise that it's a leap year

What when it's just doing that on occasions? According to the date on posts earlier today, they had the right date. Actually thinking about it before it was that the date was a day behind. The clock must be run through Windows ME then

Basically what happened is that about a week ago, they must have done something to the web server and it became 24 hours behind. Then they did something else and it became 24 hours ahead. Now looks like someone has finally set it correctly! All this time I have been manually setting the time offset to get the forum to display the right date/time.
Hmm, also I note that I am not being logged out anymore straight after logging in and clicking somewhere (without the box ticked). Kool!
