Knews box in forum moves too slowly

I am finding that the knews box in the forum is scrolling too slowly - it stays blank for quite a bit longer than necessary, and even the actual messages are up for a long time. I think this can definitely be speeded up.

Believe me, I have fiddled with the settings so much and I haven't been able to get it to change any quicker! There is a setting which can change the length at which each message is displayed for, but not for the length of the gap between messages.

I'll have another fiddle when I get a minute.

just a thought but I think that the RP forum link should also perhaps be on the Knews box or somewhere on the main forum page!

I fully agree about having the RP forum address availble on the new banner, would certainly aid the keen RP'ers on the forum.

As for the RP Forum itself, the news fader has been stocked up with some (hopefully) rather amusing messages. A recent example: 'In Wolfenden, no one can hear you scream'. Currently, there is a news item concerning The Crazed Heifer's 'Groat A Pint' offer!

For anyone reading who hasn't yet found it, the Knightmare Roleplay Forum resides at http://surrounds.proboards20.com.

Noted, thanks Drassil.

Apologies for the outbreak of 'bun-fight' RP'ing in the main forum lately.

The RP forum is a little overly serious and hard to follow for my taste. Too much time is spent 'keeping in character' and not enough actually getting immersed in the storyline.

'To each, their own' however... Emii and the others, you have my complete respect.

And, in hind-sight, the off-topic forum often (as perhaps it should...) strays a little TOO far off-topic! Can't please everyone I suppose...

I'll shaddap now...

AW! :-\

Anyway... Illusion, one thing I have noticed is that the fades don't happen at all in the mac version of Iexplorer. I simply get all the messages in a single large box at once.

However, in 'Safari', everything works as intended.

Maybe you could start your own 'bun-fight' or similar forum :D!

I think that the box is much better now that it's been changed. It now has just the two main focuses - the faq page which seems to appear first each time and the backup forum link. The bit about the login problems has now gone, so anyone having problems should check the faq. It would be interesting to know if anyone still is having problems logging in. Does anyone still have to check the 'always logged in' box? I havn't had the login problem for a while now.

A link to the Knightmare Roleplay Forum has now been added to the news fader on this forum. Kool.

I know this is slightly off topic, but I use about three different browsers, one of which is Netscape, that I'm using at the moment. The reason I'm saying this is because it's seems the fastest to me particularly with the Knews box.
