Where is Smirkenorff now?

This has probably been answered before but does anyone know where the actual model/puppet of Smirky ended up after Knightmare finished?

Latex only tends to last for 15-20 years. So I fear Smirky has long since disintegrated.

I'm sure, like Draco in 'Dragonheart' we will see Smirky if we simply "Look to the stars..."
