Was it just me who couldn't access this site at all late yesterday? Or a more widespread problem?

Yup, there is a technical problem with the hosting company causing quite irritating site downtime.

I am making plans to move hosts, if things do not improve very soon.

Well, I haven't had any problems for a week or two. Okay, sometimes it's slightly slow, and occasionally needs a few attempts to load a page, but the goblins seem to be leaving me alone. As I said on another thread, the problems seem to affect different people at different times, which seems odd me, though I have little or no knowledge of how servers and such work.

Make that "no knowledge at all". Truth will out, after all.

Some servers are pretty good with little problems whatsoever whereas some are absolute b******s  ;D

Surely this forum is still not hosted on Clara?

Is it me or is the website being a bit temperamental tonight?

Is everybody unable to access the main site? (I got here via www.knightmare.info)

Have you retried? I had something like that happen to me the other day, once though but it worked fine the second or third time I tried though. I do have a problem though with sometimes trying to refresh the page though on the main site and with this forum. I also have to refresh now everytime I want to see anything which has been added to the forum as my browser doesn't seem to update it automatically.
