Mary Miller

As many of you reading this will know, Mary Miller (aka Lillith and Mildread) has sadly passed away. To me, losing one of Knightmare's original and iconic actors is indeed a sad loss; Lillith appeared in the very first episode and will always be remembered as the very first character to physically p...

Re: Pseudo-3D Knightmare Game- A Work in Progress

The game looks like it's progressing really well. I really liked the part where you went into detail the processes and techniques used to put the scenes together. Thanks for sharing.

The Broom Cupboard Club looks at Knightmare

I was recently notified of this really good retrospective of Knightmare which was created by nostalgic group The Broom Cupboard Club. It summarises a lot about the show in just under eight minutes, and I highly recommend checking it out if you haven't done so. You can watch their video here: https:/...

Re: Unintended Knightmare references in our lives

The band Doves recently released the music video to their brand new song Prisoners, in which the very last scene is an open landscape which eventually leads to going through a black doorway/portal.
(If anyone's curious, you can watch the video here.)

Now, I wonder where I've seen that before...

Re: Series 5 Episode 14

Going off on a tangent for a mo, noticeable that Scaramonger also had the original & genuine magic-shield for sale on his table. Would have been useful if the medusa was anywhere ahead. ;) You can see the magic shield making cameo appearances all the way up to Series 8! (Though I won't say where ex...

Re: Jedi Temple Challenge

I wonder if they made Episodes 4, 5 and 6 first. Speaking of Episodes 5 and 6, they are now both available for our viewing pleasure. One thing I forgot to mention in my previous post in relation to Episode 4 was how impressed I was by the winning team. They played the whole game superbly even thoug...

Re: Pledging: potential perks and pitfalls

Thanks for this Drassil. I'm really pleased that a program inspired by Knightmare has consequently inspired us to initiate a new wave of opportunities and possibilities involving scenes from Knightmare itself. James, as you played a Knightmare RPG character who came to choose the dark side over the ...

Re: Series 5 - Episode 10

Something I've only just picked up on having rewatched this episode: The quest object shield which is being polished proudly by Pickle at the beginning of the episode is exactly the same one which appears in the Eyeshield sequence after Jenna leaves Julius Scaramonger! 8-o As mentioned recently befo...

Re: Series 5 - Episode 10

Regarding Team 5: Both dungeoneer Jenna ad her sister Andrea have been past contributors to this forum. Jenna posted under the name DeadDungeoneer and has written one post on this very thread, with a few more scattered amongst the Episode 9 thread. There is also a very good post by Andrea here wher...

Re: Jedi Temple Challenge

And then there's the final challenge in the Jedi Temple itself, where along the way the players who've made it this far are persuaded to connect with the dark side. Easily akin to Knightmare's dungeoneers trying to be coaxed by Mogdred into pledging their allegiance to him, and I will attempt to el...

Re: 2000AD Magazine: Survival Geeks - Crisis Of Infinite Nerds

Knightmare featured in 'Prog 2179, and a little bit in the previous week'. Being the curious person that I am, I decided to also purchase a copy of Prog 2178 to investigate Knightmare's presence in that edition. I noticed that the last panel to feature Knightmare here has a delightfully gory decapi...

Re: Series 4

I.M.O. Michael Cule was the star of the series as the likeable Brother Mace. He was also sound as the gormless guard Fatilla. Morghanna - in case you haven't checked it out yet, here's a selection of interview questions from when I met up with Michael to film him for my 25th Anniversary Documentary...

Re: Series 4 - Episode 16

So if there were, indeed, little logic in the production team allowing us to continue, only to cut-off the quest as incomplete in the next room anyway (fir tree and wreath delivery notwithstanding!) Brett - not sure if you saw this post recently, but it's worth having a look at the Twitch video men...
