Re: Great Knightmare Mysteries
Imagine if that 'nice' Mogdred gave the team a spell, just to be ever so helpful you understand...
Okay, spellcasting - S-P-L-A-T.
HEY! Why are we dead? WHAT HAPPENED?!!
So - you can never rely too heavily on magic to get you out of a tricky spot.

Re:Great Knightmare Mysteries
What would have happened if Barry and team had had a lapse of stupidity and tried to have the forcefield around the shield removed instead of that of the troll-hammer?
My own guess is that "Gwen" wouldn't have removed the forcefield or something, and another troll would have come in and thumped Barry...
And the troll probably would've fallen onto Fear anyway by a mistake. But that's just my guess!

What if the Lightning Rod wasn't on Captain N's ship and Red Death got to Knightmare Castle?

Re:Great Knightmare Mysteries
To both the last two pasts above mine, see this post (ages old):
http://www.talkknightmare.co.uk/yabbse/ ... rt=msg2245
I personally agree with what is said there - I suppose the crew would have just told the team to re-film if they went for the shield, or maybe Greystagg would have refused, perhaps reminding the team of her statement "If it harms Lord Fear, I will help", and then Barry would ask her to release the hammer.
Although, what would have happened if Barry had not taken the Short Cut through the corridor of blades or not taken either the FREEZE potion (used on Sylvester Hands AFTER the Corridor of Blades) or the FAST BACKWARD potion (which they used to get back to Knightmare Castle)? Also, with Julie's team, what would have happened if she walked onwards without summoning Greystagg?

I've always wondered, if you look at things from Smirkenoff's point of view, does it appear to him that a dungeoneer just materialises out of nowhere or does he have a portal glued to his back from which a dungeoneer emerges from? It must be very hard for him to lay down at night if there is a ruddy great piece of black card stuck to him!

Re:Great Knightmare Mysteries
Why is it that Lillith has the power to conjure magical causeways, but not hair brushes or humbugs?
Who ordained any of the monks, and why? I don't imagine their eccelsiastical interviews would have gone that well:
Bishop: And finally, brothers, what is the central tenet of faith?
Cedric: CLOBBER ALL THE DOGSBOTTOMS!
Mace: *hic* I-I-I...'m shorrry, bish, what was that?
Strange: Many trees grow over the sleeping river, but only the butterfly laughs at dawn....
How did certain things get past the censors on a children's programme? Namely:
The 'Uppers' pills
Marta
Skarkill's chains fetish
The Reach wand (maybe that last one is just me being an English student and spotting phallic symbols but... oo-er)

Why is it that in Series 7, Treguard informs Team 3 after their death that their quest was the longest when it was really Team 1 who were the longest!

*Kieran and Drassil with Emii here
Motley ~ Methinks it is based on the fact both reached Play Your Cards Right. Evidently he was getting fed up of deaths, so decided it would do him some good if he felt the Powers That Be were actually making progress!

Some More Mysteries:
- Sidriss' father is, as we know, Hordriss. Who's her mother?
- LF at start of Series 7: "I ask for a Seneschal, they send me a tadpole" Who are the 'they' in question?

I think perhaps that you should've added *contains spoilers* to the subject bit!Motley wrote: Why is it that in Series 7, Treguard informs Team 3 after their death that their quest was the longest when it was really Team 1 who were the longest!

Re:Great Knightmare Mysteries
In Series 4 Mallice gave one team a HERO spell, she said it was summon someone long dead to the cause.
The Question it who would it have summoned, Gundrada?

Re:Great Knightmare Mysteries
I don't think Gundrada was dead.
Maybe it would've been a Launcelot character, or the ghost of King Alfred the Great?
