I refer to it once or twice in this post's final sketch.

I even remember seeing it when it came out!

Yes, it's very famous. I would have quite liked Atkinson to play the Doctor for real at some point, but there's very little chance of it.

Never say never, he was on the list of people to be considered for the Ninth Doctor! (But then again, so was Bryan McNerney, aka Grimwold, so it was a very diverse list...)

I have to say, this particular video does perfectly parody what I've always considered to be the weak points of Doctor Whom.

My girlfriend is making me watch episodes regularly though, so it's only a matter of time until I start enjoying it :P

Bryan McNerney told me in 2006 that 'an SFX survey listed [him] as No: 64 in their "Who'll Be The Next Doctor Who?" survey'. He didn't say whether this survey referred to the Ninth Doctor or the Tenth. If you have confirmed it to be the Ninth, please let me know from where, as I can't find any copies of the survey online. Thanks. :)

Of course I haven't confirmed it! I had just got it into my head that it was the Ninth, for some reason. Not sure why, that's just what my brain said.
