A review of Children's ITV in 1988, particularly the autumn months when Knightmare Series 2 was broadcast.


New presenter

In 1988, Mark Granger took over the presenting role. Andi Peters (before he went to Children's BBC) stood in for Mark during his holidays.

We also saw Mark wearing an original, limited edition Knightmare sweatshirt with the glow-in-the-dark life force symbol.

Also in 1988, Matthew Corbett made a studio appearance with Sooty, who said he found Knightmare too scary!

Competition: Design a Dungeon Room

Children's ITV launched a competition to design a dungeon room for Knightmare. Treguard provided the details.

Treguard (Hugo Myatt) appeared on Children's ITV on Monday 14th November 1988 to announce the six winners, who were to receive the Knightmare sweatshirt and the (first) Knightmare book. Treguard faded away to return to Knightmare Castle for that day's episode.
