Strange alerts them to Sylvester Hands, who he says is lurking in masquerade.

They arrive at the inn, where they are greeted by the maid Marta.

Knightmare Series 7 Team 4. A disguised Sylvester Hands gives Naila a horn.

A rowdy entertainer (Hands in disguise) comes in and sneezes over the patrons. He tries to recruit Naila by giving her a horn which can be used to call him.

Naila then tells Marta about the disguise. In return, Marta says that Grimaldine the wizard has been travelling a lot on Smirkenorff, so he must have a supply of firestones.

Naila exchanges the silver for a potion and a spyglass. The team keeps asking for more, so Rothberry has a joke at their expense.

Grimaldine: "I believe you have little experience of green magic. We will change that!"

They encounter a troll blocking the way. The potion gives Naila a hazy view, so she still needs careful guidance. Asmita just tells her to run, which is almost calamitous.

Knightmare Series 7 Team 4. Naila gets limited vision to see a troll standing in the way.

Grimaldine is sat at the gateway. Aware he is looking for a servant of the opposition, Naila gives him the horn to summon Sylvester Hands.

He gives her a firestone for a flight to Level 2.

Level 2

There are clues on a rock: a book, a bar of gold, and a glow light. The scroll reads: "I speak when spoken to".

Knightmare Series 7 Team 4. The Level 2 clues include a book and a glowlight.

Naila tries talking to the book - it responds! They take it and the glowlight.

In the next chamber, Raptor and the goblins run in. The book provides a BOLT spell, which fireballs the opposition.

Knightmare Series 7 Team 4. Raptor is struck by a magic crossbow.

Naila switches on the glowlight in a dark dwarf tunnel and finds a spyglass:

Spyglass: Sylvester Hands has been caught and interrogated by Grimaldine, but his information turned out to be useless.

Lord Fear: "Well, it looks as if Grimaldine is struck out with you, then, my filthy little friend."

Fear gives Hands the day's combination to get back.
