Re: bes[t] ooh nasty
My favourite was actually an "Oooh, that is nasty". He said it as if he'd just realised all the deaths he'd seen before weren't actually that nasty compared to this one. No prizes for guessing which death it was.

"Er... say hello to the goblins... ask them if they'd like a present"
"Ooh, ooh, that IS nasty, I shouldn't look any more if I were you" or something like that. The dramatic chord and sound effects of the Life Force Death zooming onto the screen kinda obscured Treguard's voice at the end.
I'd still like to see the entire Life Force animation from start to finish full-screen, without the credits rolling up over it...

Best ooh nasty I've heard so far was Series VIII, Team II.
"Left....RIGHT RIGHT RIGH..."
*Bong* (Blood all over screen)
"ooooooh, nasty...."

Re: bes ooh nasty
By tone and mannerism of the way he said it, I think the 'OOH NASTY'! when Gavin sunk into the quicksand in Series 3 was the best one. ;D

ooooh naaaasty s8
As i am totally obsessed with the ooh nasties of Treguard does anyone think that series 8 had some most excellent ooh nasties, and even better there was always a camera shot of Treguard saying this?

Re: ooooh naaaasty s8
As I've often said, I got the impression that Hugo was overcooking the delivery of his catchphrase in season 8. I know that I'm in a minority there, but there were times when he'd adopt this really stagey pose, and I'd think, "Why don't you just wink at the camera and have done with it?"

Yes some of the oooohhhh nasties were a bit over the top and dramatic. The first 1 he did at the start of s8 was good though!
The only way is onward, there is no turning back.

So far on the re-runs I've only recalled him hearing it the once...

Re: best ooh nasty
Having discussed this with Dave recently, I'm inclined to agree. The way Treguard has to look away; the drawn-out n of nasty; how the shot includes the advisors too, for whom Treguard's catchphrase seems to serve the genuine purpose of telling them that it's all over. It helps make up for the 'wot no amputation?' anti-climax of the demise itself.
