I don't think that's an eye on the right, it looks more like an ear, other wise the 'creature' would be tilting his head for some reason.

Does it have a Rod for it's head or do you just use your hand? i guess based on how it's made there's no internal rod.. stitching all the fabric together can bo really tricky.

I'm reminded of the axe room in series 3 with that really tiny ledge, which was tough enough without the ghostly axe. That always looked a bit impossible.
