Re: Motley! Good or Bad?
I know it's amusing sometimes and all, but it's slightly annoying when legitmate discussion threads are hijacked completely off-topic like this. It wouldn't be so bad if it was just once, but it seems to happen rather a lot that the cartoon violence invades. We do have an off-topic forum, and roleplay forum(s) too, which are much better places for it. I know all threads go off topic sometimes, but this does seem a bit excessive, in my personal view.

Re: Motley! Good or Bad?
This is very true, I apologise for participating but I occasionally do get fed up of my persona being attacked by knifes or transformed during discussions. So I will no longer participate in these discussions and I apologise to anyone who is annoyed. Not meaning to have a go at you Snowwie but you are the biggest perp in these things, perhaps it would be better if we all gave this up and took it to a more suitable place

Re: Motley! Good or Bad?
I certainly don't mean to turn it into a personal thing, and as I said, it can be fun in moderation. I just think when it repeatedly pulls good threads off topic never to return, when there are indeed better places for it, it's misplaced. I guess it's up to everyone to show moderation, and know when you've pushed the bounds too far. One thing I do when I feel I might have contributed too many completely off-topic posts is to go under the Members section and look at my last 50 posts, just to see over that selection, how many have been KM related, and how many have been vaguely worthwhile in my opinion. To be honest, I think that's a good way to test both if you're on topic enough and if you're just contributing constant one-line posts. Although there's nothing wrong with the latter, I personally try and avoid doing it.
