The mighty Smirkenorff - statue
Here's a Smirkenorff bust statue I'm working on.
After reviewing photos from all the different seasons, I decided not to go screen accurate. Partly because his design changes slightly over the years and partly because it's just more fun to inject some of my own style into it.
The bigger version is almost 6 inches tall and about as big as I can go for a one piece print on my equipment. The print took about 11 hours and it took several hours of work to do the clean-up. It's ready for painting now, so I'm pondering how best to approach that.

I don't have any advice to give for painting it, but the detail is incredible!

Re: The mighty Smirkenorff - statue
I'm mostly just trying to decide if it's worth unpacking my airbrush equipment or if I should just do it all by hand. Either way, I'm unlikely to start on it before the weekend.
I'm glad they stand out and they'll be a lot clearer when painted. I long since lost track of how much time I've spent on this one. It was definitely the most time consuming so far on the details.

The obvious suggestion would be Motley's statue from s8.

Wonderful work, here and on all your statues and models. I hope Smirkenorff creator Mark Cordory gets to see this.
My suggestion: the laser cats from the Egyptian room in Series 3.

Fantastic! They'd make great bookends.

I've actually made full dragon statue bookends before but they were for Dragonriders of Pern, which has much simpler dragons.
Doing something like that for Smirkenorff would be an awful lot of work and I'm busy with other projects at the moment. Some of which are Knightmare related.
This has reminded me I never posted a picture of my paint colour test.
