Thanks for directing us to this David.

This is brilliant and highly recommended. Great scenes and whilst amusing in places, it wasn't overly reliant on humour. The dungeon backgrounds are superbly designed as well.

I like how he keeps trying to drink the poison - judged just right not to become too repetitive or predictable.

Hatfilms tribute to Knightmare

Post by HordrissTheConfusor »

Hello!

First time poster here but long time Knighmare fan!

So many good childhood memories about this show. Made me a lifelong fan of the fantasy genre.

I'm also really into D&D and recently some of the people from High Rollers (think UK Critical Role) took part in a Hatfilms tribute to Knightmare.

Mara Hulmes and Chris Trott both from High Rollers are doing a 3 episode tribute to Tim Child's Knightmare called Knight Terror: https://youtu.be/1lBDYuoxi64?si=uqhF_biq1n-PTb0F

Episodes 1 came out last week with episode 2 comimg out around an hour ago.

Thought this community might appreciate it 😀

The second episode was really good as well - liked the adjustment of the helmet horns!

This may sound strange coming from a long-time superfan of Knightmare Series 4, but I was a bit disappointed that the first three rooms were exactly the same as last time. There were three new ones later, though, so that was good. The watering can fixation was funny. The Harry Potter reference in the chess scene was seamlessly slipped in.

Why didn't they at least consider abandoning the knife? I was yelling at them to do that, and take the potion and the key instead. I wonder if in the third episode, they will finally take the key and then that will turn out to be the only time they didn't actually need it.
