Re: A new Knightmare FAQ
UPDATE: (Copied from the Back-up forum)
The first draft of version 1.0 is nearly complete - big thanks to, among others, Kieran O'Brien and Rachelesque for their help with it. Most of the entries are now in place and the main body of the document is more or less intact. (If anyone would like to see what I've done so far, please contact me and I'll e-mail it to you. The document is currently just under 170K. ALL feedback, ideas and corrections you can offer will be most welcome.)
Anorak's Corner is the one bit that's still lagging behind. What I please need from everyone - and I mean EVERYONE - is suggestions for what stats I need to include in the list.
A few ideas I'm already including...
How many times Treguard said, "Oooooh nasty!"
How many times Treguard said, "Oh dear, what a pity!"
How many quests ended with a dungeoneer falling to their doom.
How many times Merlin forgot his own name.
How many times did Mogdred boom at someone to "Quail!"?
How many pond-life references did Lord Fear use for Lissard?
How many people criticised Lissard's bad breath?
How many people did Cedric call a dogsbottom?
How many dungeoneers died in level 1?
How many dungeoneers died in level 2?
How many dungeoneers died in level 3?
How many perfect-score riddle contests were there?
How many dungeoneers did Motley ask to teach him a new joke?
How many times did Skarkill say, "LOVELY"?
Which region of the country is the best at Knightmare?
But I need more! Please put your ideas on this thread for me to research and include. And although this section is essentially just a laugh, please don't waste my time with genuinely daft suggestions.

How many different references to dungeoneers did Lord Fear have and what were they?
How many time could actors with main dungeon characters be spotted in the background as extras?

Re: A new Knightmare FAQ
How many times did a team use Smirkenoff for a flight?
How many times did he accept a Dragon Mint for payment?
What's the highest amount of characters any 1 actor has playd in Knightmare?
How many versions of the Opening and closing theme were there? (Easier, but you could add 'For an episode in S7, the lead-in stutters came in twice, as oppsed to just once, just to be more picky!)

Re: A new Knightmare FAQ
Okay, the first draft is now more or less complete apart from Anoraks' Corner. I'd be grateful if volunteers would come forward to help me do research for that.
The rest of the FANSFAQ is done though. Once AC is done, I'll do a full redraft of the whole thing and then it'll be ready to go live. Should be before the end of the month.

Re: A new Knightmare FAQ
Is it too late for one more suggestion?
A look at the grey area concerning the 'walking suit of armour': it has been called an automatum (I think), a behemoth, and even a frightknight (by Gundrada in S4, and maybe others)! If I'm wrong about any of that, it only goes to show that a clarification of the issue would be helpful!

Re: A new Knightmare FAQ
Which particular "walking suit of armour" are you referring to?
The automatum was a clockwork robot from S2, the frightknights were Lord Fear's warriors from S5, and the behemoth was the heavy-duty machine from S6. These were all separate entities.

Re: A new Knightmare FAQ
For more on the possible use of the terms 'behemoth' and 'frightknight' to describe the walking suit of armour seen in S3 & 4, see the 'Interview With Edmund Dehn' thread:

Re: A new Knightmare FAQ
Are you still looking for suggestions about stats? Sorry, forgot you'd mentioned this.
"Sometimes of the Grey, but always of the Green, dearie. Shurrup Brollachan! Have you seen Festus, my dear? I need to take him back to Cornwall. " [cackle]

Re: A new Knightmare FAQ
Oh, and yes, we've discussed possible Frightknight references in S4 several times before. It was definitely called a Behemoth by Hugo in S3.

Re: A new Knightmare FAQ
Mm, okay. Yeah if you want to offer more suggestions for stats, or indeed anything else, by all means let me know.
The current FANSFAQ, incidentally, is only version 1.0. It will doubtless need updating every few months even after it's completed as the picture will always be changing, so even if you don't get any extra ideas till after it's published, please still let me know, and I'll simply add them into a later version.

Re: A new Knightmare FAQ
Okies, off the top of my head:
How many different ways to get from one level to the next were used?
How many (different) spells were cast?
How many times did a Wall Monster threaten to "feed on" a Dungeoneer?
How many times did Mrs. Grimwold call someone "dearie"?
How many times did Treguard say "Caution, Team" or some derivative?
I'm sure I can think of more, and help probably help with the research, if you need extra hands, obviously depending on other commitments.

Yep, I'll take those, except the "Caution team" one, as that one'll go on forever!
