So I'll go with that they were probably instructed. It does seem like a logical answer.

We can add this to the wish list of questions should an interview happen.

Never seen KM B4?
Why is it that advisors and dungeoneers never seem to have seen the program before?. I never seem to have heard anyone on Knightmare say anything about the series that even suggested they knew it existed before they entered the studio. Why does an advisor never say " Oh look its the C.O.B that weve seen 3 times before and talked about endlessly before we came here, you know what to do dungeoneer ". Why do they always walk into a room and say " I see what looks like a clown locked in some kind of trap, why do they never say " ohh look its Motley stuck in some stocks again "?.
I just wonder how many teams did see KM before they were on it and Im sure they must have discussed tactics for certain rooms and stuff like that. So why did we never see any of that?. Was there some kind of unspoken rules like in the BB house, no mentioning names or past series?. If so I suppose all the slip ups were edited out.

Possibly, Most teams prolly didnt watch KM, I mean I got the impression that the team that knew about wellways and other things in S5 prolly watched it. the lack of it being mentioned tho does suggest it wasnt allowed

Re: Never seen KM B4?
I've always wondered that. If I was on Knightmare from series four onwards and my dungeoneer entered the corridor of blades I'd be saying to him, "Right, you are in the corridor of blades, move to the left wall..."
It doesn't include those from series one I suppose. Since they haven't had enough time to study through the entire world of the Knightmare Castle!

Re: Never seen KM B4?
The last team in series 4 seem to be have been the most avid fans; Giles was told to say "I command you!" to Oakley, a feature of the previous three series but excluded from series 4 onwards.

Gavin (Series 3 Team 1) are asked a question in the clue room which could only have been answered correctly if you'd watched the previous series - they needed a bit of prompting from Treguard ("who made you laugh in the dungeon?") but they did eventually correctly respond "Folly" to one of Golgarach's riddles.

Re: Never seen KM B4?
It is interesting that some teams seem to not have the first idea about what's in front of them. I'm reminded again of the incident in Series 3 when in the very first room an advisor seems to fail to realise she has to guide the dungeoneer to the exit, rather than just telling her to go there. She can't see!
Having said that, I guess it's easy to be overly critical here. They're all young, and since they're in the unusual and probably pretty nerve-racking environment of a TV studio, I guess it's easy for knowledge, plans etc. to disappear like Festus's lunch. I guess that in several teams, only a few members were real fans of the show, and the rest were just brought in to make up the numbers. I suppose most 12 year olds don't watch the show quite as we do now, noting all details.
It is nice, however, when teams so remember things or have obviously prepared how to deal with certain obstacles if they happen to come across them in the new series.

"Sometimes of the Grey, but always of the Green, dearie. Shurrup Brollachan! Have you seen Festus, my dear? I need to take him back to Cornwall. " [cackle]

Re: Never seen KM B4?
Regarding mentions of previous series, I don't see there being any reason why the team should not be allowed to mention anything relating to previous series. DeadDungeoneer or Barry, do you have any further info on this?

Re: Never seen KM B4?
Nice thought people I never noticed some of the previous series comments that you mentioned. When I was in school there were 4 of us in my class who always wanted to be in KM but we never applied because basicly we didnt know how. I was supposed to be the dungeoneer in fact, probably because I was the least bright lol. I suppose Im just surprised that there wernt enuf teams of 4 that knew about KM to fill a series.
