Weeping Doors,
When I hear "Oh dear, Oh dear" it very irretates me.

Pixel was annoying.
Also something which applied in series 5/6 - not sure until I see them again - where when a dungeoner died and we started at level 1.
They death was bad enough but we started at the long and repetative level 1 again.

Just curious on this, KM Fan, what annoys you about the Trial By Spikes?
Personally the overuse of causeways in the middle seasons and Majida are the main things that annoy (aside the aformentioned spellcasting lengths of certain characters)

I'm really not sure, it was just a strange room, but strange in a good sort of way.
You mentioned above the overuse of the causeways. I think they should have been used less, and they should have been harder to solve. If it were series 3, there would be clues scattered around, and some thinking involved.

Mindless repetition of S4 irritates a little, having the same rooms in the same order is a little tideous, although when there IS a change you notice it even more!

I agree with the S4 thing.
"Let's not forget the opposition" - said the same time at the same point in every quest. And the calling for the doors was atrocious.
And also people who claim Barry and Dunstan were rigges quests. Right on, Thanatos!

Re:What annoys/irretates you (KM wise)?
I'm sorry to add to a growing number - but I'd also stake a claim for the Weeping Doors. It wasn't just the basic repetition of them appearing every single level, but the voices were just of a tone difficult to cope with. Adding to that, every question was a single true or false, given a rather weak strand to the general knowledge purpose of it all, and they also, frustratingly, took up a lot of time. Mind you, while I will tend to pick lots of personal faults with S4, I still love watching it, wouldn't have it any other way, and if the development led to further series' being so exceptional, then I can't compain.

Slightly off topic but when you post a message on a backup forum board and you get replies with strong opinions that result in a full blown argument. (yes you know who you are so please cool it down).

Re:What annoys/irretates you (KM wise)?
It wasn't just the weeping doors; there was a great deal of verbatim repitition in Series Four, especially in Treguard's lines. Brother Mace made up for it, though.
"Dickon, ah yes, have you not a brother who is a Dominican?"
"I sit here in my lonely cell and I contemplate the follies of the wide world. And I also drink a lot of ale."

Re:What annoys/irretates you (KM wise)?
Series 4 became irritating not only because of the weeping doors, but because the first three rooms were always the same. It lacked the variety of series 1-3 and did not benefit from the attempts of continuity.
I don't think any quests were rigged, but can't help thinking some teams were favoured over others. Although Dicken was the only dungeoneer to reach them, the final two chambers in series 4 were so easy- what was the flashing skull about in the last room- where was Mogdred!?!?
