Re:S2 - Team 2 (Death)
I have made a video but my copy of this episode isn't very good and my capture card isn't tolerant enough so it's come out in black and white. Still the action's all there so... I really should get round to replacing all my fourth generation copies of eps with ones off Challenge.
I will upload it now.

Here we are:
Please right-click and save as here (video in Windows Media format, I can't do RealPlayer):
http://www.nktp.freeserve.co.uk/s2t2.wmv (642k). B&W only for reasons already explained. Will probably serve as a temporary file until Illusion can do a better one. Rough capture, cut short at the end. Look happy.

Re:S2 - Team 2 (Death)
Spooky! Even though it's obviously a sheet, the speed of their death goes a bit towards making it a severe and swift end. Also their obvious panic in Ariadne's room would have probably made them hope for it to be alleviated in the next room...
"Oh dear. What a pity. Never mind."
Ahhhh, classic Knightmare!

Re:S2 - Team 2 (Death)
The death really interested me a lot for some reason. Frames are nice and smooth though cheers Neil!

Re:S2 - Team 2 (Death)
That'll be because the compression codec is more tolerant of moving items in the film as opposed to RealPlayer which will drop frames on encoding to catch up. I much prefer DivX myself, I can cram a full 3mins or so worth of video into a 1mb fileFidjit wrote: Frames are nice and smooth though cheers Neil!

Which compression codec did you use? WM8 PAL?

Re:S2 - Team 2 (Death)
Made with Movie Maker, which ships with Windows XP.Fidjit wrote: Which compression codec did you use? WM8 PAL?
According to the properties of the file it gave me (Movie Maker, in true Microsoft style, tells you bugger all on the subject):
Audio Codec: Windows Media Audio 9
16 kbps, 16 kHz, mono (A/V) 1-pass CBR
Video Codec: Windows Media Video V7

Re:S2 - Team 2 (Death)
Here's my version of the death scene, captured from the version Challenge broadcast a while back (hence the on-screen logo)
http://tomsonic.dyndns.org:90/temp/km/s2t2death.avi
DivX 5 codec, 256 by 192, 25fps
I'd have liked to do it at 384 by 288, but for some reason the card refused to capture at that resolution without dropping 40-50% of the frames
Still, it's in colour, and is slightly higher quality than Neil's.

Looks fine and groovy to me; quite a spooky death, that one.Tom41 wrote:I'd have liked to do it at 384 by 288, but for some reason the card refused to capture at that resolution without dropping 40-50% of the frames :(

Don't suppose you (or anyone else for that matter) feel like compiling clips of all the deaths in Knightmare, do you? ;-)
