Should Series 3:Team 11 have won?
Just wondering. I thought it was very unfair after they came so far.
Mind you, Team 4 were almost as close!

They were two of the best teams to ever have been on the show, though they failed to get the magic/information they needed to finish their quest(s). This is a real shame.

Yes, that team and Team 4 should really have won. In Martin's case, they simply got ONE RIDDLE wrong, and were doomed from then on. It was such a shame, they were doing so well until they got to Owen.

Technically - tough luck - 3 out of 3 in level 3
Personally - that was a shame - one riddle wrong and they lose.
What i wanted to know is why Martin didnt just run forward and try to escape Morghanna's bolts. Unles they werent allowed to.
That brings up another point - Julie's quest (say hello to the Goblins, Julie) was unfair too - they lost because they got a riddle wrong - even though they got one right, why does 100% need to be achieved in Level 2?

Re:Should Series 3:Team 11 have won?
In my opinion it was fair. Everyone else who got as far as Merlin's throne room that year had to get both riddles right to receive a spell. The rules may have been tough but they were fair in that at least everyone was treated equally and according to how well they did.
Should team 11 have won? Well I do think that the linearity of needing to answer the riddle right just to survive made half of level 3 seem a little pointless. I think it should have been a bit more flexible. If they'd earned the spell it would've been easier to escape Morghanna, otherwise they should have been allowed a more complicated way of fighting her off.
Come to that, that should also have applied to Julie's team against the goblins as well.

There were a few teams in S3 who certainly LOOKED like champions, and certainly Team 11 were one of them, I guess.
Sadly, S3 was a very very tough season. Well I don't know....Maybe that is a good thing.

The flying spell Merlin gave them would have been good to see.

Well I couldn't really vote because I somewhat agree with both answers. Yes they did deserve to win because they were so close, but it was fair that they didn't because they did get that vital riddle wrong. Same case with Leo's team. I think if anyone might've won it would've been Ross.

Ross's team made one crucial mistake at the end, which definately contributed to their downfall (geddit?)- When the magic axe appeared, instead of guiding Ross across the ledge as quickly as possible, they just sat there for 20 seconds thinking what to do! By the time they started moving, the axe was much closer to Ross that if they'd got a move on earlier, which caused the team to panic a bit, and forget to tell Ross to stop in front of the door until it was too late. Still, they did well!

Leo's team should have used the glory spell!
What would ahve happend though if they had done?
Also I don't think they'd have got magic from the Gargoyle, he would of probably told them which ledge to work on.

I'm sure the Glory spell was a trap. If they'd cast it the 'glory' would've been Mogdred' and Mogdred's alone.

Maybe in hindsight they wished that they'd used it, just to see what would happen.
Malice gave the same spell in S4 when a team found something for her in level 3.
I don't think that one would have been a trap.

But then again if they were going to die, they were going to die anyway whatever they did!HStorm wrote: I'm sure the Glory spell was a trap. If they'd cast it the 'glory' would've been Mogdred' and Mogdred's alone.

Not at all. They only died because they chose the wrong path in the stained glass window room. If they'd guessed right instead, casting the Glory spell would probably have gambled it all away for nothing.
