Knightmare on Sci-Fi question
Apologies if this question sounds like I'm obsessed, but I thought it might be interesting to know: what was the last episode of Knightmare shown on the Sci-Fi channel, and on what date was it shown? I know it was a Series 4 one, and it was at the end of October 1998, but it would be nice to know the exact episode and day: could the day have been the 25th, perhaps (last Sunday in October) or the 31st? (last Saturday in October)

Re:Knightmare on Sci-Fi question
I'm pretty sure it ended on the 31st (last Saturday in October 1998) - probably exactly 3 years since they acquired the rights (would make that 1st November 1995).
As far as I can remember, they only showed a few episodes of Series 4 before the rights ended. Sorry, can't remember exactly how many.

Re:Knightmare on Sci-Fi question
Thanks- I got cable on Wednesday 30th September 1998, and I was allowed to pick 4 channels I wanted: I chose Sky One (for The Simpsons), UK Gold (for Doctor Who), Challenge TV (for the old gameshows) and Sci-Fi (for Quantum Leap- I had no idea they showed Knightmare!) Unfortunately a mix-up meant I only recieved Sky One and UK Gold, and I didn't get the other two until 2001- so I would have seen 9 episodes of KM before the rights ran out if I'd have got Sci-Fi. Still, they'd all later be shown on Challenge 5 years later.
If I knew the date in 1998 they first showed Series 1 Episode 1, by counting every Saturday and Sunday from then on I'd know which episode was shown on the 31st October. Could be the 3rd, as that was the first Saturday of the year, but I'm not sure.

Re:Knightmare on Sci-Fi question
For interests sake - did Ski-fi channel show all eight series?
I didn't have any digital channels then, but I remember seeing parts of series 6 round a friends house. Any idea what year series 6 was shown on there?

Re:Knightmare on Sci-Fi question
Yes, they showed all 8 series between 1995 and 1996, so, since they started in late 1995, Series 6 would have been shown in 1996. At one point I also thought I'd seen some episodes on Sci-Fi too, but I then found out I was confusing it with something else.
Would be interesting to know the day when they Series 1 Episode 1 again in 1998, though.

Re:Knightmare on Sci-Fi question
I don't know why but I'm sure I'd seen series 3 again long before it was on Challenge, but after the Pickle series. I don't believe I watched them when they were on Sci-fi as I never even had Sky or Cable then. I reacon that it's because I had strong memories of series 3. Even when I saw series 3 for the first time on Challenge, I still somewhat remembered bits from it. Weired also as I remembered Pickle, but not the series' he was in. I also for some reason thought that Pickle was Treguard's assistant before he had no assistant at all and not the other way around. So how did I remember series 3 like I'd seen it since it was shown originally? Surely I must have seen it somewhere else such as on Sci-fi, but can't rember ever having access to it anywhere. Such a mystery that is that I can't solve

Re:Knightmare on Sci-Fi question
I remember being told knightmare was on the sci fi channel but this was a few years before we got sky at home, so before 2002 the only knightmare I'd seen had been on ITV. Its interesting to know that they repeated all 8 series in 1995 and 1996 (good job I didn't know that all 8 series were being repeated on a channel I couldn't watch as a ten year old, probably would have thrown a tantrum) >:(
The only way is onward, there is no turning back. Oooh nasty, didn't realise the road ended there!

Re:Knightmare on Sci-Fi question
I got Sky in 1995 but couldn't have cable because the area I live in didn't have access to it, something technical. Anyway I was so annoyed that I couldn't watch KM and was really dissappointed that there was no series 9.
