Popup ads!
I don't know if it's the main website or the forum as I usually have two IE windows open at the same time which is usally the website in one and the forum in the other as I have at the moment. Recently though I have been getting popups now and then though, which I hadn't been getting before. They are very annoying for me as they slow my computer down. I went back from that annoying XP, (which for some reason kept making my computer keep freezing especially on startup) to that annoying memory muncher ME. I was wondering though if anyone else gets popups occasionly on either the website or the forum. I have always gotten popups whenever I gone to view the guestbook though and still always do.

Re: Popup ads!
Hi,
You should not see any pop ups on the main website [knightmare.com] or this forum [talkknightmare.co.uk]. The only exceptions to this is when viewing the Guestbook or using the voting features, which are both externally hosted.
If you are getting pop ups out of the blue, it's possible that something you've accidently clicked on when browsing the web has installed some spyware or adware onto your browser. I have had this problem before and would recommend that you install and run AdAware [http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/] which will detect and cure these things.

Popups?
Is anyone else getting popups everytime they go onto the main site? It has been happening to me practically every time I view the main site for the past couple of days and so I was wondering if anyone else has been getting the same thing.

Re:Popups?
Yeah I could have sworn that happened to me the other day - though typically as I go to knightmare.com now I cannot recreate this.
EDIT: Just hit refresh on knightmare.com and a banner advert appeared as it reloaded. Sometimes when I refresh I get a popup ad and other times I don't.
EDIT (for the 2nd time):
The banner ad is being triggered by something on http://www.knightmare.com/page2.htm
From looking at the HTML I strongly suspect it is triggered by one of the Bravenet features - specifically the web counter as this adds a cookie & uses an external script controlled by Bravenet.

Re:Popups?
Yes, that would be because Bravenet seem to be adding popups to the counter feature. I will try to replace it with a non popup counter shortly.

Re:Popups?
I have that problem on my site atm. I went and added one of Bravenet's polls to each and every page, and now they go and add pop-ups.

Re:Popups?
I figured out a few weeks ago that it is something to do with Bravenet as they're may host and I get popups each time I visit my guestbook and guestmap.
