WARNING!!!
The following Ebay item is a FAKE, under no circumstances buy.

Whilst there is a chance of me being wrong I have seen pictures of the 2 variations of the trophie and there are some differences, albeit subtle.

Re:TAPE PIRACY ON EBAY!
This person contacted me a few days ago saying that he had purchased this trophy from a car boot sale in Northern Ireland from someone who originally bought it from a sale in England.
I assumed that the person had bought a FrightKnight as used in Series 5/6 series and I have him information on the use of FrightKnights on the show.
Looking at the picture on the auction it does appear to be different to the ones awarded to the dungeoneers, but it could have been a prototype or had some other use.
I have ask him to remove my e-mail and have clarified that I do not represent an official source of info and cannot guarantee its authenticity. But it looks quite genuine to me....

Re:TAPE PIRACY ON EBAY!
I emailed Tim Child regarding this and this was his reply...
So sorry erol but I fear you may have just wasted £300.Its not genuine unless its been repaired?
The sword is a form of scimitar and all of ours were made with broadswords.

Re:TAPE PIRACY ON EBAY!
It seems Tim Child pretty much explains it is a fake in his reply to Brollachan.
E-Bay is not a safe place to buy Knightmare items be it DVDs or things like this.

Re:TAPE PIRACY ON EBAY!
Tim Child posts here with user name beveryafraid, send a personal message to him. Now he knows what is going on I expect that he ismonitoring this thread.
Have you paid for this and recieved it yet? I hope you haven't wasted a lot of money on a fake - or at least something not in it's truely original form.
There can't be many of these Frightnights about - weren't they only given one per team to the Series 5 and 6 winners?
I wonder if Tim knows how many were made in total?

Re:TAPE PIRACY ON EBAY!
This is the information just passed to me by the seller:
Hi Erol....
Ok...I am just off the phone with Ron Lyon the creator of the Frightknight. (Tel:01962 882348)...he has confirmed that this is one of his Frightknights...he says he took a number of them up to Norwich with him where the show was produced - these had different weapons, broadswords, axes and scimitars - some were left handed and some right handed....
He did make one specific model that moved and could be made to look as though it could fly -but this was for use in the production of the actual programme (this one had a broadsword).....and is maybe what Tim Child is referring to..
Anyway, I can find no better or other expert...and I now, more than ever, fully stand by my description of the sculpture...I feel I gave all the information I had and was very open with the concerns some people had....This is a Frightknight...
PS
Have you had a look at this link from the Knightmare site?
http://www.knightmare.com/club/1-2/p6.htm
I hope this helps...
So, i believe that this is now a frightknight? Everyone agreed on that?
regards,
erol muhammed

Re:TAPE PIRACY ON EBAY!
Erol,
Firstly welcome to the forum.
From the info from Ron Lyon above it looks like you have bought a prototype Frightknight. It certainly isn't the same as the model that was actually used on Knightmare, but that isn't to say it's not genuine. I would be very suprised if it was a fake, and there has never been any known cases of this.
The only person who will be able to confirm its authenticity is Ron Lyon himself. Perhaps you could contact Ron and e-mail/send him the picture.
